A couple of weeks ago, I made a mistake in trying to renew my passport. Mike and the team at the Rockport post office were kind enough to pull the package back and set me up with a photo that would be acceptable with the application. They were extremely helpful in guiding me through the passport renewal process and even stayed a few minutes late to make sure I was all set. I can't thank them enough.

Service A+ Window clerks knowledgable and eager to help. Our carrier (Glenn Anderson) goes way above the norm making deliveries.

This is a small town post office with a big heart. Much longer hours than many other post offices and a level of personalized service that you will find at very few places. The counter staff is helpful, but our mail carrier Lary is one of a kind (in the best way possible). As representatives of the USPS, the staff here could not be better.

This is a repeated issue...Packages are left without a plastic bag sitting in the rain.

Your review helps others learn about great local businesses. Last summer I went to my local post office for a expidited passport pic and application. It was refused by the US government due to wrong size (too big) and glare on my glasses. I was unable to go on my trip because of this denial. To be fair, the person in my post office was new. However, this post office did not offer to reimburse my cost, they did take another picture, but this picture was not good either. Then I went to a CVS and a great picture was taken. I moved on. Last week Rockport post office tried to deliver a package from England that required a signature. When I wasn't there, they left the usual slip. They did not try to deliver again, and left it up to me to pick it up. I am a teacher and leave at 7:30am and do not return home until 5:30 or 6:00pm. It is the end of year, and there are lots of demands on my time. I went by the post office early at 8:00am. I discovered they did not open until 9:00am and a sign on the wall said their hours were 9:00am-3:00pm. I heard voices behind the closed customer window. I called to them explaining my problem. No response. I went back to my car and saw a young man come to the glass door. I got out of my car, went back into the post office and called out. When he came out, he was irritated that I was trying to access the post office "before hours." I was also irritated. I asked him why does a post office have hours that do not work for people who have jobs, adults who commute to work? He told me they were open to 5:00pm. I asked him how these hours help anyone but stay at home folks with children and retirees? He was defensive and said I was creating a scene. That if I continued he would call the police. I was insulted by this young man. Yes, I was irritated and direct, but I was "not" creating a scene. In the time he spent denying me access to my package, he could have been kind (we are a small town) found my package, and wished me well. Instead he asked that I return in the afternoon which I could not do, nor could I return on Sat am. SO GOODBYE ROCKPORT POST OFFICE! GOOD RIDDANCE! I have taken out a post office box in another nearby town, and I will never use your services again. I also was told that all those useless advertisers will not be put in my post office box. The individual who helped me at my new post office offered to have my package sent over. She had great people skills. I realized that over the past few years, I have been going to a private Mail Box store and UPS store. They are always nice, and I can access envelope and copy supplies. For the first time, I understand why some people never use the USPS.
