DO NOT BUY cabinetry or anything kitchen related from DB&S in Norwell. We spent over $50K on cabinetry and countertops only to find out that the Manager (1) ordered the incorrect size of cabinetry costing us thousands in delays and additional costs from installers; (2) charged our account for materials which were never authorized or communicated to us; and (3) ordered the wrong size panels for our kitchen appliances. The Manager has since acknowledged that she ordered the wrong size panels but now blame local business KAM Appliance. We are now being forced to file a lawsuit against them because she refuses to acknowledge that she had the right specification but, due to her inexperience and/or lack of attention to detail, ordered the wrong one. The customer service is awful. This is the worst store to go to for any kitchen and bath needs. BUYER BEWARE. SHOP ANYWHERE ELSE. YOU WILL THANK ME LATER.

My construction company purchases material at DBS Lumber in Roslindale. I recommend it highly to all local area building contractors. It’s convenient, well stocked, a real great resource. Also, they frequently custom order materials and will quickly bring them in. One of the best lumber yards in the entire Boston Area. Prices are good. Staff in the office and guys in the yard are real good to work with.

Staff is knowledgeable. You can find most type of lumber. Delivery cost is honest. Quality of lumber is below average.

I ordered a custom-size exterior door from DB&S. My handyman picked up the door when it was ready and they gave him a door for a different customer. He had to go back and pick up the right door they had ordered for me, wasting about an hour of his time. That door ended up being 2 inches too wide for the rough opening. After calling DB&S on the phone, they acknowledged that the dimensions of the rough opening in my purchase order were correct, but they had given the wrong dimensions to their supplier. My handyman would be able to use the existing door but would need to charge extra to widen the opening by 2 inches. DB&S said they would cover these extra charges due to the mistake. They had said they would follow up with me, but haven't.

I'm less satisfied with the way DB&S has handled the situation especially after acknowledging the mistake was on their end. It seems they don't want to accept responsibility for their mistake. When I call them, I'm told their manager will follow up with me, but he never is available nor does he return my calls. I would not recommend doing business with them if this is how they treat their customers after making a mistake on their end.

Absolutely incredible experience at DB&S Lumber. Went in for some input on a leaking roof, they sold me some items to patch the roof, and although they could've sold a much more expensive tool to spread the adhesive, they recommended the least expensive one since it is disposable. I returned the next day to buy rubber roofing material, and normally the soonest they could get it delivered would be the next day. Jay went out of his way to figure out how to get it delivered to me the same day, because I'm on a very tight schedule. I cannot say enough about how friendly, helpful an accommodating everyone is at DB&S Lumber in Roslindale.
