I had a very disappointing experience at this UPS Store, specifically with the owner. When I originally dropped off my Amazon return, I had two items: a dress and a pair of shoes. I tried to scan the code for the dress separately, but the owner told me it was on the same return code as the shoes. I asked him if he was sure because the dress was expensive and it was very important it got returned. He confidently told me yes and that I was all set.
Later, I found out the dress was never returned properly. When I went back to ask about it, instead of offering any help or taking responsibility, he was extremely rude. He pointed his finger in my face and told me the issue was entirely my fault. He claimed I was supposed to box and label the item myself — which I was unaware of.
Most shockingly, he told me not to trust him — an incredibly unprofessional and concerning thing for any business owner to say.
If he had done his job correctly in the first place, we would have realized the dress wasn't properly packaged when I first dropped it off. Now the package is gone, and it was never labeled at all.
Isn’t it UPS’s job to ensure packages are properly labeled and boxed before shipping? I left feeling disrespected, blamed, and frustrated. I would strongly caution others to think twice before doing business here.

This UPS store cost me $130 because of the manager’s mistake. I followed their instructions exactly, but my package never made it to the destination—and of course, they take no responsibility. The manager was not only unhelpful but also dismissive and rude when I tried to resolve the issue. I trusted them with something important and was left with nothing but frustration and a financial loss. Save yourself the headache—go to literally any other shipping provider.

Crap service and very rude employees. Go to a different UPS if you want your package delivered correctly.

I brought back a return and the guy said I had to bring my own bag so I grabbed a bag from my car and I put the label on it and then I went back in and asked for two small pieces of tape and he said we don’t have free tape I go really I go. Do you have a stapler and he goes no so I said wow are you guys really that cheap and he goes next time don’t come

They used to be so nice and helpful here. When I went in a couple of weeks ago, there were 3 men behind the counter. Not one had a smile, and made me feel like they were going of of their way to help me. It felt like they really didn't want your business. Another person was shocked also at the rudeness. You guys need some training in customer service.

there is an incredibly rude and unhelpful man who works here. unwilling to do the bare minimum for customers, such as answering questions about shipping time and delivery. left here quite astonished at the way he talked down to me and other customers in line. visit another location of UPS or FEDEX and find someone helpful.

Avoid this UPS! They used to be amazing, now they are full of rude unhelpful staff. Literally go anywhere else. Note all of there recent terrible reviews- owner should take note.

This is a new UPS store that was recently sold this summer of 2024 and purchased by new owners.
They're just doing it for the money and don't really care much about their customers and try to nickel and dime for anything that they can get out of you and if they don't get any money out of you they give you nothing so I would probably just not go to this particular UPS store located on the Newburyport turnpike in Rowley Massachusetts. At the end of the day if you want customers you do whatever it takes to get a customer and not send them away. In the small town where word travels fast so don't think you're above it all you probably will suffer because of this indiscretion towards customers..

Watch out, this store will milk every penny out of you. Brought an Amazon return back to them and they charged $2 to put tape on the box. Then I needed something printed. They gave me the email address to email them the document to print. Then charged me $3 for computer use for them to receive the document. Ridiculous.

I had a not convenient package to ship that did only weigh 12 lbs. I did feel for the worker, with regular packages I might have rated the experience a little better, it was however memorable enough to know he did not want to help. If I did want his help he was going to make me pay 190 bucks to make the box. He did let me buy 60 dollars in materials but made me construct the box on the sidewalk. Dripping with sweat as the humidity and heat in August are still quite high. Upon completion and waiting in line again for the shockingly 8 people that walked in to get help in front of me. Finally got a quote of 400 dollars. So I left and went to USPS. I did forget that UPS likes to jack up everything. This review is more for UPS and not the not so helpful worker. Im aware I should bare some of the responsibility, I should have known better.

Always unhelpful. Today’s experience : there is something called Simple Rate which is like a flat rate for shipping . I looked it up earlier and couldn’t remember the name when I was there. I kept on asking about a ‘flat rate’ acknowledging that it was not the correct term but the same idea. and they said there was nothing. I had to stand there and find it on their website and point at it before they could acknowledge that a flat rate product existed but then only was offered at ‘ corporate’. In the past they have been nasty about taping something together in their store, return labels they claim not to be able to read. Etc etc. will go out of my way to avoid them in the future. Thumbs down.

Have an issue every time I go to this UPS. They try to overcharge for everything. I was returning an item that I purchased online and it says to drop off unboxed and they will package and & ship for free ( because I paid for shipping once already, why would I pay again?) but of course they wanted to charge me to package the item.. isn’t that the point of scanning my return QR code? Such a rip off

Still unresolved, Day 3. BE CAREFUL of THIS Vendor! UPS Rowley sold me a return shipping label for a package which is deemed by UPS as counterfeit! UPS corporate will not help, and the UPS Rowley will not help. My package is a family heirloom and at risk of being lost! Hours spent trying to resolve.

Just had an over-the-top wonderful experience with the staff at this location. They mailed a precious hand made item for me earlier in the week. They helped me when I was unable to track the package online. They remembered me when I called today. The recipient was no longer at the address I used and I needed to have the pkg returned to Rowley UPS. The situation was handled in minutes and they were pleased and eager to help me. I’m thrilled this pkg won’t be lost in space!!! Would never use any other carrier.
