STAY AWAY! BlueHub is a Predatory Lender!! A non-profit that charges a shared appreciation mortgage which takes a significant portion of the equity in your home leaving you trapped and unable to refinance or even sell your home.

Most companies just do what's nessary to for themselves without a second thought. But Justin Deangelis, went way beyond the call of duty to help me! Everyone gets into a situation that they wish someone would come along and help them. Well, Justin did that for me. For a month he work diligently to help me keep my house. I received a note on my front door letting me know I had 10 days to vacate my home.During thoes 10 days Justin made offers to the bank to buy my home so I could keep it. Right up until the 10th day (witch happened to be a Friday), we waited until 5pm with no response from the lawyer that represented the bank, sadly our journey together had ended. All I can truly say is, Thank you Justin Deangelis for going way beyond the call of duty to help me fight to keep my home!!!I now live in a cute cozy apartment, and just yesterday (February 18th), Justin sent me an email checking in on me to see how I was doing. Now that is dedication!Thank you Justin Deangelis

I don’t usually do reviews because everyone’s experience can vary based on so many factors. That being said Blue Hub totally exceeded any expectations that I had. We were facing a foreclosure due to me losing my job in March of 2021 and we had a lender that refused to work us and with the mortgage being behind we believed that refinancing was impossible. As foreclosure process progressed and we came closer to the court ordering a sale date I was doing an internet search for foreclosure refinance options. I thought I would come across the usual adds of “we buy any house in any condition” but I came across Blue Hub.I decided to do the application not really expecting much other than the typical response of “we wish you luck but we can’t help”. That’s not what I got, I got a phone call from Blue Hub and I was able to explain everything we were dealing with and that I wanted to keep the house. The loan terms were simple, yes the rate was a little higher than prime rate but given the circumstances I understand that. The approval process was under 45 days and we closed the day before the final hearing of the foreclosure. Blue Hub outlined all of the requirements and was available every step of the way. I couldn’t be happier with the outcome. We were kept in the loop the entire time and every question or concern I had was addressed. I can’t recommend Blue Hub enough!Very candidly I did read some negative reviews relating to the equity share option, I didn’t need the equity share program or option due to the equity we have in the house being just under the limit. Equity share can be expensive option depending on how much principal needs to be brought down but in a foreclosure and the threat of losing your home that needs to be weighed and understood before signing. Personally I would’ve signed knowing that I’d be giving up some equity if that was the requirement but my situation may be different than others.

My experience with BlueHub Capital, in particular, Jonathan Coakley, far exceeded my expectations. Jonathan has been incredibly kind, compassionate and understanding. He has helped me remain in my home on more than one occasion when unforeseen circumstances arose for me and he went above and beyond what most mortgage companies are willing to do. He is very responsive both with emails and phone calls. He truly cares about helping someone to stay in their home. I can’t thank him enough and would recommend him and BlueHub to anyone who is in need of help!

To all of the homeowners who've given a positive review here, do yourselves a favor and call Blue Hub, tell them you would like to refinance your mortgage. That's when you'll begin to see their true colors. The nightmare will not end there. You will find out that before you can refinance or sell your home, then you must first pay them a huge percentage of your equity. Many homeowners, including my husband and I, owe them 50% of our equity. You will not realize this until you are ready to refinance or sell. We worked hard for our home to have something worthwhile to leave to our children. Now thanks to this "nonprofit"company and its CEO with her $700k+ income, we are trapped.

I am living in a crowded house. I would not mind if it was my elderly relatives, or helping out a friend down on their luck, that would be a privilege. My infestation is from BlueHub Capital, who holds my mortgage. I am in a mortgage nightmare. BlueHub Capital wants to charge me nearly $100,000 in order to refinance into a lower mortgage of 4% interest rate far less than the 6.375% I now pay to BlueHub Capital. After being a homeowner for nearly 9 years I would walk away with no equity. And they write they stand for equity and social justice, I really beg to differ! Some days I do not even have the words to accurately describe the negative impact of how a so called non profit established in the heart of urban Boston would institute a program of foreclosure prevention and then the homeowner has to pay additional money when they are ready to refinance or sell their home. Pay or Stay is not the American Way.One former homeowner, BlueHub Capital foreclosed on his home when he fell ill and fell behind in his mortgage payment. He shared how BlueHub Capital destroyed the legacy he was building for his family.1 Star is too kind for this organization. Keep your $25 gift certificate peddling survey for homeowner satisfaction. As one homeowner said, "I rather you get rid of your profit making Shared Appreciation Mortgage, so I can live my life without your foot on my neck."see

BluHub Capital are Wolves in Sheep’s clothing and that’s even an insult to wolves! They take full advantage of homeowners in vulnerable financial situations and capitalize on others misfortune. I have and over the market interest rate.(over 6%) with a hidden SAM where l can’t sell or refinance my home unless l give them half of my home equity. I’d advise everyone to check the fine print in their documents. I’m not alone in this situation there are almost 900 other homeowners who were scammed as well. If your reading this google WBZ News BluHub and homeowners and you can see the story for yourselves. The CEO of this mob style non profit agency makes over $786k a year! They have their foot on our necks and WE CAN’T BREATHE!Black/Minority Homeowner trying to live!

Recently my wife and I reached out to Blue Hub Capital to request a loan modification and we were fortunate enough to work with Mr. Jonathan Coakley, Loss Mitigation Manager. Throughout the process Jonathan's demeanor was extremely friendly and professional and he made what was a very tense situation for us a very pleasurable experience. Our loan modification was approved and we highly recommend the services of Jonathan Coakley and Blue Hub Capital to meet your mortgage needs.

Predatory lender who preys upon homeowners, and fail to properly disclose a Shared Appreciation Mortgage stripping the homeowner of future equity, or the opportunity to refinance.
