I can't recommend this vet highly enough. We've always had pets and they currently care for our 3 dogs, and 1 cat. All the staff is warm, professional and they are amazing with all our animals. We are real pet lovers and very picky, and I couldn't ask for better care for our beloved fur babies!

Everyone here truly cares about your pet. They listen and understand individual pet personalities and needs while providing excellent care. They are able to answer your questions with knowledge and patience and they always call right back when they say they will.

Brought our new kittens here. Enjoyed meeting Dr Klingener and the staff. Everyone seems caring and competent. Happy to have this great local vet. (Prices were reasonably, too)

Like a lot of other people during COVID we adopted a pet. Our cat Marcy is the first pet my daughters and I have ever brought into our home. She’s been the best addition to our family. Being first time pet moms we were very nervous about choosing a vet. We chose Rutland at the recommendation of a friend. The doctor took the time to provide the information we needed as first timers and let us ask lots of questions. We had a great experience and would recommend.

We moved from Fitchburg to Rutland a few months ago leaving behind the vet in Luneburg. We are now located a stones throw from the Rutland vet so is clearly the most convenient option. I had made an appointment once for my elderly dog who was having a gland issue and the woman who took my call was just a delight - super helpful booking me for the next available appointment and told me cancel if I was able to get him seen elsewhere sooner. That ended up being the case, so I canceled that appointment later in the day.Now we've got a new issue.. my dog is not doing too hot and seems his health has declined greatly in the last few days. He's nearly 16 years old, he hasn't been eating or drinking, when he does he's not keeping it down, he started wincing with once eye about a day and a half ago, and has been lethargic. His days may be numbered at this point but he seems so uncomfortable I called the vet last night hoping to leave a VM to make an appointment.. the voicemail actually said something about 'we're accepting new patients, leave a message with your name and number and we'll call you back' which is what I did. Now today, I've called to see if there's any openings sooner rather than later, and woman on the phone was so brash and cold, asked if we've ever been there before and I said we have not been physically but once made an appointment. She asked what vet we use and I told her our old vet in Luneburg is what we used prior to moving to Rutland, but we were hoping to be seen there. And then she said they're not accepting new patients and these issues sound like something our current vet should address, not them.I don't understand why they have a voicemail saying they're accepting new patients if they're not, and I don't understand why you'd put someone with absolutely zero people skills at the front desk answering calls. In short, this one single experience I've had at a very emotional time for our family has put me off to this place for good.End rant.

One visit and Dr. Klingener found the issue with my dog, she gave me an answer. My old vet could not!!! For 2 years I have been bringing my dog to a vet in Worcester and they couldn't give me what was wrong I appreciate Dr. Klingener!!!!

Sad….we love the MD….office staff….not so much. We all have busy lives these days….more reason to help each other and be accommodating!! Rutland Vet had called me last week to reschedule my original appointment today at 4:45….to come in at 3:45…..sure! Today, I called to see if my kitten could be seen a few minutes before her scheduled time, to allow me to pick up my son, rather than canceling altogether. The woman that answered the phone, “sure! We are running on time today!”. I said I would be there in 10-15 minutes and would call from the parking lot. Once I arrived and called, I continued to sit well over 30 minutes and beyond the 3:45 time.. I entered to office to explain I would have to cancel…there were no explanations, apologies, etc. A woman sitting at a computer, did not even look up at me, asked if I could put a mask on. She said…”I was not the one you spoke to”. Very impolite and unprofessional:(
