Scusset Beach State Reservation is a beautiful and clean beach area that offers a great place for walks, picnics, and outdoor activities. Visitors enjoy the stunning ocean views, clean sandy beach, and the chance to find colorful sea glass washed up by the powerful waves and strong currents. The park features a large parking lot, a playground suitable for young children, and a picnic area with built-in BBQ pits. During off-season visits, the beach remains peaceful and less crowded, with bathrooms being clean and accessible, although they are typically closed during the winter months. The boardwalk, sea grass, and overall scenery are lovely even in colder weather. Camping is available nearby, with sites that have good access to the beach and clean facilities, though campers should bring a long water hose due to water hookups being centrally located. Some sites lack fire rings, but fires are allowed if campers bring their own. The park is conveniently located near the upper cape, making it easy to visit without a long drive. Overall, Scusset Beach State Reservation is a well-maintained, scenic spot suitable for visits year-round, with summer tending to be busier.
Great place to camp near the beach. Great place to bike on the canal. Our grandson loved the playground.

LOVE this beach. The boardwalk down is helpful when you have a lot of gear. The bathrooms are a godsend for a long beach day. The snack shack is cool, pricey but if you need something it's there. They let military park for free. We live close and go year round!
