The prices are way above average. like $.75-$1.25 above average on most things. most of the wine is over priced. The crown royal and scotch is priced high. A six pack of twisted tea bottles is near $13. 24 ounce can of twisted tea is $3.80. most places they are $3.00 to $3.25. Nips of fireball and Dr. McGillicuddy‘s are $1.25. Literally everywhere else they’re a dollar I’ve ever been. It gets two stars because of the prices and because there’s one cashier there who has glasses and seems like he always has an attitude. Like he has RBF every time I’m there. But the other two guys I normally run into are cool as hell. So maybe I’ll bump it up to three

Small selection and higher prices than every store in the surrounding area. Bad atmosphere, grumpy management.

Neighborhood packie (in Massachusetts liquor stores at one point were referred to package stores to pick up 'packaged' beer, and we call them packies today) near the Joseph Hodges Choate monument and the Salem Firehouse station on Essex Street. Being a neighborhood packie, it doesn't have a substantial selection; more liquor and generic wine than beer. Mostly mass-produced beer. Is available here. Closest I find to craft beer is Lagunitas, however it's good in a pinch. The staff are always friendly and though the store can feel a little claustrophobic, it's welcoming.
