“I am so glad a friend recommended this auto body shop to me. Both Steve Sr and Jr are wonderful guys who I feel like genuinely care about their customers and go above and beyond for them every time. Highland Ave Auto Body is how customer service used to be, which unfortunately is getting harder and harder to come by these days. I would much rather support this small, family owned business than go to the dealership where I’m going to get all these additional charges and someone trying to sell me services I don’t need. My car was only a couple of years old and I feel like the dealerships encourage you to use them but at the end of the day, there’s really no need and it’s just a waste of money - as someone who has done both at different periods in my life, I can honestly say I can’t see any difference in the professional quality of the work from Highland Ave Auto Body versus the dealership. The quality of the people is noticeably different though! It’s reassuring to me as a female to know that I’m going to people who are honest, decent and down to earth and will not only do the right thing by me but will try to save me money in the process! They do phenomenal work and I was so pleased by the results. I’ve been to them a couple of times and they really do take all the work away from you when it comes to dealing with the insurance company as well. They work with a rental company too who will pick you up / drop you off at their shop, so everything is super easy. Now that I’ve found this place I’ll never go anywhere else and I’ll be sure to share with friends and family! Give them a try - you won’t regret it!”

“These guys are legit. Please disregard any negative reviews you see regarding these guys. I have been dealing directly with Nick and he’s been nothing but short of amazing. At first I wasn’t going to go through insurance and pay him out of pocket because he gave me a great rate and when I decided to go through insurance he guaranteed me with a smooth process and seamless transition to the claim with estimates and supplements available withing 2-3 days! These guys aren’t here to just make money, but help these cars get back on the road in a better shape from when they came in, and they do it with care for their clients! Absolutely worth the drive, no one has taken better care of my car like these guys have!”
“I had called earlier this morning and spoke with Angel about a battery for my vehicle and not only did he check to see if they had the batteries in stock but he also gave some great advice about checking the starter alternator and they do that free of charge. Had I known that before paying a certain dealership to check for those things at a cost I could have saved. So next time, I’m calling AutoZone first before I call anyone else. They also offer warranties on the batteries which I took advantage of previously And they did a great job. As I got to the store, I met with Dylan who was very nice and helped me with my battery checked To make sure I have the right one because there were several batteries to choose from. Dylan and Angel both came to assist me to get my battery installed and then also checked my starter and alternator to make sure everything looked good. The service that I was given, not only on the phone, but in person was amazing and I will definitely be back to this location! Thank you to all of those who helped me today you helped my day!”

“1/21/26: I’ve bought headlight bulbs from this store before, always stocked with whatever I’d need. One day, I had a stubborn lamp that just wouldn’t budge. In what happened to be below-freezing weather, the nerves in my fingers had less patience with me than usual. So I reached a point where I decided to turn to people slightly more “mechanically inclined” than yours truly. Store manager Tyler came out with no hesitation to help me out. He fixed it within minutes. No problems. No charge. They didn’t even try to sell me anything. So I implore anyone reading this, in the Salem area (or beyond): if you’re in search of any auto parts or car-related products/items, etc…..Then go to this store. They’ll help with what you’re looking for.
2/17/26: Apparently you can only review a place once, so Trey helped me out today, I gotta give this store another thumbs up for its skilled staff and exemplary service.”

“(Minus one star for a bit of a long wait/it can be unclear what they are doing when) but otherwise, this place is great. You can tell that they are eager to help. I got a flat tire on Saturday and as I was down the road, I stopped by. Not only did they let me walk in without an appointment, but they didn’t have the right size tire for my car and went above and beyond to put a spare on so I could get home safe. They also offered to order a tire for me to come back Monday and have installed. Great service and such a kind owner.”

Scott tested the module and confirmed that it was good. scott told me to change the cables for the plow. it would be $435 with labor and it will take 1 hour. Walk in service was amazing. The team was great and the mecanic Max was very fast. 30 minutes later I was on my way to my house”

From the moment I walked in, the manager was absolutely fantastic — incredibly professional, genuinely kind, and clearly takes great pride in her store. The space was spotless, well-organized, and a clear reflection of her leadership.
Most impressively, my online order was actually ready and waiting when I arrived (!!!). After dealing with delays and disorganization at other locations, this was a game-changer.
Even though the AC was out of order and it was a hot day, you’d never know she was uncomfortable — her energy and professionalism never wavered. She even had cold bottled water available for customers, which was such a thoughtful and appreciated touch.
I left the store not only with what I needed but also feeling genuinely taken care of. This is now my go-to location. Dealing with inefficiency and long waits in the heat is not the life for me — and thanks to this manager and her team, I don’t have to.”
