First time at Fringe in Salem, and I couldn't be happier to have found this beautiful salon. I love my cut, color, and highlights by Austin! I had wanted a little change, but nothing drastic. I listened to his suggestions, and the changes he made were just right. Very good first impression all around at Fringe. And what a treat that you can enjoy the lovely view of Salem Harbor while waiting for your hair color to process. Thank you!

I've been coming here since I was a little younger and am now 17. I come very rarely to get my hair cut but everytime I've came here it has been absolutely amazing and I even checked the reviews to see if anyone had a problem with fringe and the 1 star reviews are literally just very petty people who give bad reviews for no good reason. This place deserves the full 5 stars. My mom comes here and there as well and was the one to bring me here when I was younger. Everyone is absolutely nice and is so talented. This will forever be my favorite salon. Definitely recommend!

I just went to this salon for the first time (after an initial consultation) and saw Scott. I came in with part of my hair orange and he was able to get the orange out and gave me a beautiful color. I am so happy and he did a great blow dry as well. He is friendly and knowledgeable. The salon is beautiful with the water views and I now have a new sylist! Highly recommend! Thank you, Scott!

I came to this place for a gift certificate says they were open someone in there cutting hair extremely rude and did not want to sell me a gift certificate. I think this place is nasty and the girls work there are nasty.

I’m only giving 5 stars to the lovely girly with the big long wavy hair. It was my first time at the salon and was pretty nervous she washed and detoxed my hair giving me info I didn’t know about my own hair. The male or “boss” of the salon was vary nice to but kept stressing the stylist that was assigned to me. He didn’t let her really do her thing and kept bossing her around, also included himself to work on top of the work she was doing on me,( which was a disaster) dispute my results on my hair (which I’m not really gonna talk about) did such a good job and was so sweet and loving. I think the boss needs to let his staff do what they gotta do and if they need his help, they will call for him. He can also work on some communication skills overall beautiful place, nice people.

I had a signature dry cut with Carlie and I was blown away how good my long-wavy hair looked when I left. I didn’t know my hair could look so great! She was also very friendly and knowledgeable and I highly recommend.

I have been going to Kathleen for over 10 years now and always have the best cuts from her. Everyone at the salon is super friendly and I can’t recommend it enough.

I saw Carlie today at Fringe and had such a great experience. I went in for overall color, but after an education explanation of all of my options I went with a gloss. This was a huge savings and it's so great to see a stylist who's not just trying to upsell the more expensive treatments. The salon is beautiful and bright and SUPER clean. Carlie is a total gem, extremely friendly and funny. I felt really cared for the whole time I was there. I booked my next appointment on my way out because I was so happy with the service which is not something I normally do.

Last June I came here for a simple trim and gray coverage.. I have curly hair and the stylist used thinning shears, completely destroying my hair. Paying almost $200 to ruin my hair and it hasn’t been the same since. My hair was healthy, no split ends, never use heat on it, and not even that thick at the time. I didn’t know what it would do to my hair. I asked for some simple layers as my hair was all one length. The whole front of my hair framing my face was so thinned it has gaps and cannot wear my hair down. Super short pieces that stick up and frizz out. Split ends everywhere. No matter what hair serums or smoothing lotions I use, nothing will keep it down. I have cried over this. Decided not to leave a review for so long because I blamed myself for not knowing what thinning shears would do when I asked for layers and she suggested thinning.
Please, DO NOT LET THEM USE THINNING SHEARS ON YOUR HAIR, especially curly hair. My hair hasn’t been the same since. I don’t know how long before it gets better, as it’s already been a year and it still hasn’t recovered.

If I could give zero stars I would, way over priced and do a terrible job with color on hair for the prices they have you SHOULD WALK OUT WITH AMAZING HAIR…. Not!! Terrible management and not a great environment

I love Fringe! Been going here for a few years now. I tried so many places over the years and Ive finally found a place that cuts my curly hair perfectly. Best haircuts of my life thanks to Scott, he and the rest of the staff are always so lovely.

Fringe salon is the best, beautiful inside and amazing stylists. I have been seeing carlie there for a while now and 100 percent recommend her for all your hair needs. Whether it be color, cut, or blow dry, I always leave more then happy! She is amazing and super knowledgeable at what she does. She always makes sure that I’m comfortable throughout my appointment, and does anything she can to make it the most enjoyable for me. If you are in need of a new stylist deffinetly consider booking with Carlie!

My experience at Fringe was awesome! It was super easy to get to, super clean and Carlie was a super hair stylist! She gave me exactly the cut I wanted, gave me the best head scrub of my life, and the most gorgeous blowout! I felt so clean and pretty after leaving Fringe. This will be my go to salon and Carlie will be my go to stylist from now on!
