I had a great experience working with Dan and Star to sell my home in Salem. They gave my husband and I great advice. Our home sold quickly at a great price in a tricky market. I have bought and sold a few homes and this was about as smooth as it can go. Inevitably we had a few hiccups but Dan helped us navigate them and we are very happy with the outcome. I highly recommend Dan and the MerryFox team.

Merry Fox is a superb real estate agency. Dan Fox has a thorough grasp of the market and the psychology of home buyers.He prices houses realistically, and consequently creates a very competitive demand for them. He personally furnishes the houses that he shows, displaying all the possibilities to potential buyers. He was recommended to us without reservations and we do the same.

I had a great experience with Dan Fox. I needed to sell a home for my sister-in-law but I live out of state. Dan worked with the estate sale company to clear out the house, arranged for the needed repairs and painting to be completed, and worked with a landscaping company to clear up and clean up the exterior.
He did a great job marketing the home and spent hours holding open houses. In the end, we got a fair price offer and closed on the home—all without me having to travel back to Salem.
he is very reliable and I would recommend his services. For me, being hands-off was great and I felt I left the project in good hands.

Really unprofessional. My experience with Maggie: She really wasn't proactive in our back and forth emails. I asked for a virtual meeting and she suggested a mutual time but expected *me* to arrange and host the meeting? And when I find out she expected this from me, she just wished me luck with other agents...It felt like I was being merely entertained this whole time and the bare minimum wasn't even shown to me. A total waste of time.

Personally wouldn’t recommend. They don’t update their listings very often, and are horrible at following up. Have inquired about a property for over a month and spent this week trying to get in touch with Dan Fox and he blew me off all week and ignored each voicemail I left. Finally sent an email out on the website asking for someone to get in touch so I can know whether I can still come see the place and only THEN does he choose to respond by just saying “it’s been rented.” No apologies or niceties for the terrible communication on his end (or lack thereof I should also say) or any professionalism. Just keep trying other realtors if you’re actively looking for a new place, otherwise you’ll be wasting time trying to reach anyone on this team.

Jaki and the whole MerryFox team were fantastic, end-to-end. In a difficult market, we were able to get into our property in what felt like no time. They are experts in the area and helped the process go very smoothly. Additionally, their recommendations for other facets of the process were all spot-on, especially as first-time buyers. I have been working with MerryFox Realty to secure a condo in Salem. They have been wonderful to work with, often going above and beyond to assist me to secure exactly the home I need and desire. House went on the market on a Friday. I emailed Dan Fox the following day asking to see the home. Dan stated that he can’t do early morning and whether I can do later in the morning. Within a couple of hours I responded and asked whether 12:30pm works. No response from Dan at all. A few days later I find out that the home is under contract. I completely understand the market, I get. But not responding to my email, not even looking for potential backup offers in case the existing offer falls through, I don’t get it. I’ve worked with many real estate agents and I would never trust someone like this to sell my home. Very unprofessional and not sure how this is acceptable behavior for the clients they represent.

Purchased a house in Salem in Oct 2022 using Merry Fox. Pam Coffin made a lot of strange/underhanded remarks about how she had NEVER heard of anyone using 3% down to purchase a home, and how her boss made such a fuss when I wanted to make an offer on a home with that amount. I offered to give her my preapproval letter upfront so it seemed really dishonest that all of a sudden it became an issue. I ended up with the house but it seemed quite rude on the agent's part. This broker does not seem interested in assisting anyone with less than 20%+ down (in this economy, LOL!), so I would look elsewhere if you are a hard-working respectable person looking for a home.
