Major disappointments across the board. Erratic scheduling, billing irregularities, poor or unpleasant communication, inflated repairs, broken commitments, unprofessional treatment, personal insults. Now I have an expensive steering repair that was apparently caused by careless repairs on my stuffing box. Engine was commissioned with bad fuel. Avoid this place.

Second time transient docking here for the night and very unhappy with the changes since last year. Key code provided in email didn't work to get into the bathroom. Then when re entering marina at night there was no key pad at Driveway entrance and NO keypad to enter the dock!!! We were locked out from getting to our boat. When we called the after hour number, person confirmed there was no way for us to enter dock with key code, we'd have to wait for someone to come down and let us in.When we arrived the entire dockside grill area was taken over by a private event so no one else could use the grills.The shower and laundry house was sauna temp both days and the latch in the men's room was broken.

This is our home harbor and has been for over 20 years. However, with the purchase by the Safe Harbor group, the billing is more obtuse, the contracts are full of nitty-gritty legalese and terms which restrict what you can do in or on your own boat (at times supported by bogus EPA references). We have even been charged for work they have NOT done. I am very disappointed in their thinly veiled ploys to wring more and more money out of their "members". Don't get me wrong, ALL of the employees are wonderful and good to work with. It is their highly questionable business practices with which I have serious problems.

Unaccountable staff… Rented a mooring for the 2022 season and was dismayed when I saw this damage upon haul out at the end of season. The damage is from the boat swinging into a neighboring mooring due to the moorings being too close together or our boat being put on too small of a mooring. Damage wasn’t as apparent from the launch, so I didn’t notice it sooner. I sent photos and multiple emails to the marina (Noah) over a span of several weeks but received no response. When I was finally able to reach Noah he said “Yeah, I saw your emails. Nothing we can do about it. Sorry.” He then went on to say that maybe if we had hauled out to have them do some additional work they could have given us a deal on fixing the paint at the same time. I had actually reached out to the marina (and Noah directly) at the beginning of the season prior to picking up the mooring for the summer to get a quote for some repairs. Despite follow-ups on that I never got a quote or even a response. I’ve had a very disappointing customer service experience to say the least.

When we had to postpone or cancel due to weather, they wouldn't give any consideration. No refunds, other dates, etc.

As relatively new boaters, we have had a great experience with HC. We moored our boat there last summer and wintered it there as well and we had a great summer, and the storage and maintenance services were great. We also had our boat damaged during a storm and needed gel coat work, and they did a great job.The staff has been very friendly and helpful in all cases (and also patient with us as we have learned the ropes). Location is great, but if there is only one challenge it is that there isn't a lot of parking (it is in the old part of Salem, after all, so not a lot of space around). That said, it is also across the street from the Mercy Tavern, so always great for a boat ride and a beer afterwards :)I would (and have) recommend..

Not only is this Marina beautiful with great facilities. The staff could not be better. We are safe harbor members in Mystic Connecticut. Our boat broke down on the way from New Hampshire back to Connecticut and they took us in overnight connected us with some people that could help us and set us on our way. Being a member of safe harbor is a no-brainer. This is one of the nicer facilities I've seen
