I decided to hop over to Salem on a Sunday afternoon after a conference ended. It was a cold and rainy April day and lots of places had already closed but I saw this place had their lights on from a distance. I hopped through the ran and was so happy I did! It was such a quaint place with the friendliest owner and really cute stuff, not just decor but bath and skincare things too! I will definitely come back when I get to explore Salem on a longer visit.

I have given the Happy Sunflower almost 6 months to get back to me and they still have not. I would never complain abut a store/service without given them a chance to remedy the situation. It was my favorite store in Salem, as I told them in an email. Unfortunately, my opinion of the staff is quite the opposite. I purchased an item there while on vacation from another state, about 5 hour ride. I purchased a battery operated candle as a gift. When I returned home and tried to put in a battery, I noticed the battery compartment was glued shut. When I finally got it open, I noticed part of the battery terminal was missing, and obviously that would prevent the battery to work and prevent the candle from being lit. Being that I live 5 hours away and could not go there in person, I sent them an email and heard from Beth right away. She asked me to send pictures, I did, she seemed very nice and concerned and asked would I want her to send a new one, or receive credit. Being it was a seasonal item and I no longer need it, I opted for credit. And that was when I was "ghosted" I never heard back from her again. I resent my email as a reminder a few times since then when I thought about it, and still nothing. Whether they were the ones who glued it shut or they received it that way, I don't know. All I know is that they sold me a damaged product and did not do anything about it.

So adorbs! OMG, there are so many random tchotchkes in this store, there is something for everyone! I had to stop myself from buying half the store. So many great things for you that you didn't even realize you wanted or needed. Great place to find something for someone as gifts too. Everything from cards to potholders & mugs to astrology & candles, so much to choose from. The owner is super friendly & quite the talker! Do you role in supporting local business too, it helps them & the community as a whole.

A more traditional gift shop with plenty to choose from. They had some knitch Salem items- but mostly was filled with catchy little items that would be perfect gifts for yourself or for loved ones. My brother really was looking for something for his girls and he spent a lot of time in this shop- as there was so much to see!

The most reasonably priced gift shop on At Pickering Warf, and I'm quite sure that the rents are not. The Owner listens to the Customer about what they would like to see in the shop. What the locals, and not just tourists would purchase. Yes, you can get some rude young people, more interested in their phones than the customers, but haven't we seen the same with the way some young people are heeding the social distancing issues. I'm afraid it's the nature of the beasts. From my perspective, it is one of the Best Gift Shops around, certainly on the Warf. Up to date, edgy, but most notably "Something for Everyone ". I give it a Thumbs, Thumbs,Up.

Rude staff, more interested in playing with their phone. I was a returning customer and had wonderful experience the last time. Shame it’s no longer the case.

Our favorite gift shop in Salem, by far! The owner, Beth Ann was wonderful and her shop is simply delightful with gifts for many occasions, not just Halloween, though she has a fantastic Halloween selection too!

My husband and I love Salem and even got married there. We visit here frequently and every time we go my favorite shop is The Happy Sunflower. I don’t think I’ve ever left there without buying something! Lovely shop and friendly people

Unique store with a great selection of neat, cute, if not somewhat pricey items. What ruins the experience are the hints of a dictator-style ownership.... There are signs everywhere forbidding photography and reminding customers that if they break the item, they're to buy it. Wandering the store in a robotic, "1984" style are pre-pubescent girls watching your every move. But fear not, if for even a second you sense their eyes are no longer on you, the cashier is watching THEM WATCH YOU. They spend so much time and energy watching you that if you do decide to purchase anything, be prepared to wait a solid 10 minutes to check out. Additionally, many stores in Salem support local artists by stocking their goods AND supplying cards with the artist's information. The Happy Sunflower does NOT do the same. It pours salt on the wound by discouraging photos of the artist's names so one might find their work. When all was said and done, I decided to purchase a few small items (tootsie pop and gum) as well as onEer print by a local artist. I did so with mixed feelings, as I observed the other customers around me mumble to each other under their breaths as they become aware of the signs.

Cute little boutique store. Had a lot of seashore and mermaid decor and jewelry. They did a good job merchandising. Found some great stuff
