I went to the Salem UPS store on Washington street today to have some paperwork notarized and I could not be more happy with the time I spent there. Manager Dani helped me and it was an absolute joy to work with her. She quickly handled my needs and was super nice, speedy, extremely pleasant and professional. I will never go to any other UPS store.

worked here for about 3 months, at first it was great i really enjoyed my job but as time went on i noticed a lot of things that i did not agree with. Danielle Grenier/Harling aka the general manger for store 7011in salem is by far the worst management i have ever dealt with. i knew she didn’t like me, my other co workers told me. i was also informed that she feels like she’s in competition when it comes to working with other females because she wants to be better than them. hence as to why now her staff is strictly men. Dani was very cool in the beginning until i noticed she decided to get comfortable. she would always cut me off in the middle of helping customers which made it seem like i didn’t know how to do my job. she would embarass me infront of customers again making it seem like i didn’t know my job or what i was talking about. the 7011 store is absolutely disgusting in the back office, she leaves her trash everywhere all day long and then expects the night crew to clean up after her, then complains about it the next day. she complains about how she’s so busy everyday but will literally sit on her phone for hours and not even get any work done and expected her associates to do everything. EVERYTHING. working there i did everything while she sat in the back office and played on her phone.to helping customers, sorting mail, checking in packages and putting them away, cleaning up, restocking & the only time she would come help is if an associate asked her. but then she wonders why she runs through so many staff a year. she fired me because my grandmother had passed away and i called out to help my father and my family clean out her apt. she asked me for “proof” which i for one think is so unprofessional. she wanted me to show her an obituary card or something stating that my grandmother wasn’t alive anymore. i showed her the proof and she still fired me. she fired me 2 days after she passed away, i guess she doesn’t know what bereavement is either. i also have a lot of health problems that she was aware of and i always offered to bring in doctors notes & she would always tell me it’s okay that i didn’t need them and then i get fired of unexcused absence. dani would always get mad or upset when customers would greet me and not her, same thing with the owner mark. he would greet everyone else except for her. another thing with dani is she loves to tell company business and policy to customers. she tells customers about how much the place makes, how much she sells things for, monthly goals, what she makes wagerly. what the company makes ect ect just extremely unprofessional. she also doesn’t know how to take criticism. she would cry for absolutely everything. all in all i don’t believe she is fit to be a manager. she doesn’t know how to manage a store. she fell in love with a guy that use to work there and forced him to quit so they could be together. any given chance she has she runs out the door mid shift to go be around him. but then will complain about how much work needs to get done but will leave early to go hang out with him (i know these things because we are girls and we use to talk alot) when i got fired she has hired someone else. she made me work the day before she fired me on purpose because she didn’t want to work alone (because she doesn’t know how to schedule properly) and then once the new hire came in and her other associate she fired me. even the knew associate noticed a lot in the blink of an eye. dani picks and chooses which customers she wants to help or be nice to. i’ve seen her numerous times be rude to customers especially the homeless ones that would just simply ask for help. all in all she’s a terrible manager and doesn’t know how to run a place. there’s more to it like i said in the 3 months that i’ve worked there. but these are just some of the main things i wanted to touch base on with other customers/business owners.

I came to the store on Halloween to have my broom shipped. They were all so very nice. I couldn’t find my tracking slip when I got home so I called and spoke with Danni. She was very helpful and was able to tell me where my broom was. It was so nice talking to someone who was friendly, knowledgeable and eager to help. She is an asset to your company.

I recently moved to Salem and got a mailbox at the UPS Store. Danni the manager signed me up and she’s really the best thing about the store. Super helpful, gracious and always has a hello for you when you walk in. The other employees are good and pretty friendly but Danni is the most knowledgeable about the services that the store offers. I do think the stores computer system can be a bit slow but that’s usually not a big deal. Highly recommended.

I was impressed with the legit and intense friendliness the staff had. I don't mean fake happiness, but like a real friend trying to help you out, get that thing printed, mailed, whatever. You're all there to get something accomplished, they are there to help you get it accomplished. A real team effort. And I spoke with the one lady, maybe the owner, and she said they are a franchise, trying to do what's best for their customers in this specific Salem store location.

I worked at this store for a few months, I was constantly overworked, asked to come in on my only days off, was constantly being laughed at by my manager and coworker…who happen to be dating. I was treated 100% unfairly and the only coworker that treated me with respect was Chris. I only had 1 day off and that day the store was closed anyways. I was asked to stay late all the time even though Dani always left early and it made the rest of the team look bad and I was given bad reviews due to her lack of attendance and care for the store. She was very selfish and told me on multiple occasions she hated working with other girls and would constantly seem like it was a competition between us. I loved working here for the owner but Danielle harling/grenier was just unbearable and all around disrespectful. Her and James were constantly telling me to leave my fiancé and asking disrespectful and personal questions. James even told me I could bring my laundry in and her do it for me when I told him I had laundry units at my house when he asked. This is the most disrespectful job I’ve ever been at and she is constantly doing anything she can to make herself seem good but in all honesty she is a terrible manager and I would never recommend anyone come here to work or to do their business. Multiple people including friends, family, clients they had that I have seen since working there told me she is a very rude person and could see that they were constantly pushing work on me that they should’ve been doing. 0/10 the most tasking and unfair job…I’m making the same amount I was here (not very much) and I’m well taken care of at my new job, not overworked exhausted or burnt out anymore. So glad I don’t deal with that anymore

Everyone at this store is always very helpful and nice. I prefer going here over staples or the post office.

I came in to return a package. $2 just to print a return label. Plus the cost for a plastic packaging bag was astronomical. I know there's lots of inflation, but give me a break. They really nickel and dime you. It cost me almost ax much as the package was worth just to return the package.

I went into the store close to closing time on Saturday afternoon with several items to return to Amazon, I was clueless. Nicole could not have been nicer. She scanned everything for me and got me out the door in less than five minutes, and was gracious and kind the entire time. She is an A+ representative.
