People working here are the worst. Why even bother have fill your propane tanks. There’s where no costumers and still After he told me to wait outside for 30 minutes he never came outside so I didn’t bother and left.

The guy said it wud be 150$ for a day when it says 20$ per day for a box truck this place must hire drug attics he legit said he didn’t know how to answer any questions was probably going to use the other half on his drug use wuddnt recommend this the know how to charge but don’t really care about the customers

Horrible customer service said because I didn't use my full time that I would get refunded for the time not used, and no one would help. They were so focused on the fact that they were closing, that they said it wasn't their responsibility. Lousy customer service

anthony, the manager, is a sorry excuse of leadership. he marked our van as dispatched after giving us issues about picking up a van in the first place. a piece of work. go to danvers or wilmington instead. highly recommend leadership or customer service training for management. absolutely horrendous and would give 0 stars if possible.

Best uhaul location around (Salem Ma on Jefferson Ave). The staff/manager was very knowlegable, helpful, and friendly. The truck was very clean and nicely maintained and we had all the equipment needed to make the move easy.

Rented a truck here for a one way move, and I was freaked out on by Anthony the manager for his having to go retrieve the truck from their other location. He belittled me by telling me how I was now making it so that he had to work on his day off, because he would have to go retrieve the truck. He then refused to give me a dolly to use for the move, saying that people who do one-way moves don't get a dolly to use. I explained I knew there was a charge and I didn't care about the charge I just needed to use the dolly. He refused again and then also insinuated that I either bribed or prostituted myself to his bosses to be able to use that specific truck. Because that one does not get used for one way moves. And if they're allowing that truck to go out and overriding him, then I definitely did something to have them do that for me. Due to not having use of the dolly, I got badly injured, as did my helper. Anthony is extremely rude, condescending, and should not be working with the public, and surely shouldn't be a manager. As he makes the company look bad!! Especially considering what he said to me would be considered sexual harassment. I have been renting from U-Haul for 30 plus years, and have never had an experience like that. Because of the Salem location and their manager Anthony, I probably won't rent from U-Haul ever again. I suggest anyone in need of a moving truck to call anywhere but the Salem U-Haul. At this rate since I still have no resolution to my issues, might I suggest calling Penske instead. The only saving grace for U-Haul is that the people at Wilmington U-haul where I returned the truck were awesome, and super sweet. So a big shout out to Patty and Brodie for being great at their jobs and actually caring about about customers!!

Safety concerns all around. Horrendous customer service. Lack of professionalism from the get go from Anthony who possesses zero people skills, but a 100% nasty attitude.
Lack of proper signage for where to enter or exit, creating an extremely dangerous situation not only within the facility, but also spilling into the street traffic endangering every day drivers.
Enterance completely backed up by equipment returns, so was prompted to the Exit way just to be told to backup with a trailer into the oncoming traffic with limited visibility due to the bend in the road. Facility is too small for what it needs and should be shut down ASAP for safety reasons.
Anthony was nothing short of the most inconsiderate staffer I have ever encountered. Sarcastic, yelling, flippant, and inconsiderate of customer experience not to mention incapable of normal interaction.
Will never visit this failing facility again so as not to risk my safety dealing with the chaos that ensues there.
Ever, never, ever ever ever will deal with this place again. A few hours after that experience and I'm still shaken up.

Checking in and returning were a breeze. Staff had contacted me before time to confirm and discuss limitations of the parking lot so I came well prepared. Great communication and friendly folks.

The manager at this location is absolutely terrible. Stay far away. We go to Danvers (which is outstanding) just to avoid dealing with this place. I've heard several others with similar bad experiences.

Other locations should model their operations after the Salem location on Jefferson street. They were extremely helpful and accommodating. Anthony and Lewis made my experience smooth and stress free. I appreciate all their help
