The staff here are great. Any time I have had a question, they have been so helpful. Recently, Valter and the other person I talked with really went out of their way to solve a problem with a change of address. This has consistently been my experience during almost two decades of living and working in Salem. Thank you!

Consistently the worst service ever. Employees are incredibly rude. Walked out and went right to UPS across the street where the employees were lovely. Go to marblehead instead of this location.

I can’t say enough about the delivery gentleman we met today outside the Gallows Hill museum. My husband and I used to live in Maine and visit Salem often. We now live in North Carolina and haven’t been able to visit in a while. We brought our three kids on vacation to visit and see some of the places we loved and recreate photos we’d taken over the years. It was cold out and we had asked someone to take our photo, feeling very much like tourists in a location we’ve been many times. He said he was late for work BUT THANKFULLY the postal worker delivering mail right behind him heard and was kind enough to stop. Not only did he take a photo but he took several to make sure my kids were smiling and looking at the camera. VERY grateful, thank you sir!

The staff is rude to their customers. I know it’s not the most exciting job, but you should treat people with dignity and respect. They don’t following their own polices either. Sometimes you can get a passport photo without an appointment and the next time you can just walk in and get it handled. Just depends on the mood of the staff

As a postal worker of 40 years in Ireland I have to give this building 5 stars as it's one of the most impressive postal buildings I've seen in all my travels. You'd think I'd stay away from work on my holidays. Lol.

Salem PO is by far the worse Post Office ever.. thankfully I get a preview of my mail because I'd be screwed if not .. if I really want my *important * Mail it has to be sent to my family member.. if I want all spam I don't want then there's no problem.. this isn't the 1st, 2nd, 3rd 4th or 100th time this has happened either. You report it and they say well there's nothing we can do.. ok I have the photo of my expected mail which means you have it... so what's the problem? No answer and hung up on.. again by far the worse Post Office.. ?So it doesn’t matter if you complain about not getting important mail, my mailman doesn’t know how to read cause he’s giving my neighbors my mail.. again it’s the important mail, why? Cause this is the 10th time one of my neighbor got my mail and kept it for a week. 1 even opened it too.. apparently the neighbor thinks we have the same last name idiots…

I really like the employees. They are professional and act as quickly as possible. Best post office I have been to. Beautiful old chandeliers and entire atmosphere makes me look forward to going here.

Very dishonest delivery drivers.
I was supposed to get a package from Florida from my mother.
To the driver who makes deliveries on Mason Street.
Your dishonest and I'll be sure to get you on fraudulent waste and abuse just like most government jobs.
