“I have had two great appointments here so far, and I am so thankful I found a new vet! During the first visit, the Doctor spent over forty minutes talking to me about ny cat and learning all about his history. She also helped me solve a few behavioral issues he was having. He needs routine bloodwork due to a medication he is on. Previously, in another state, the Vet always had to fully sedate him to draw blood. Today, they were able to do it without it! I am so thankful for their patience and expertise. And shout-out to the Office Manager who took the time to schedule an appointment that works for us. She also made herself available to be the phlebotomist since she is experienced with challenging cats! You guys are the best.”

“Over the years my family and I have always brought or cats to Hawthorne animal in Salem. The facility is clean and open. My cats see Dr. Reilly and we love her! She's excellent with the cats, especially my anxious boy. The staff are all very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. When you call on the phone you maybe connected with someone at Atlantic Vet in Marblehead, they are partnered together, so the staff will make sure you get the info you need. My boy cat has an auto ship prescription with them and it's very convenient for us. The pricing here is reasonable compared to others in the area for the level of care you receive, they are very thorough! The parking lot here can be a bit tricky and tight but there is parking and it's easy to get to off of canal Street in Salem. We are very happy being patients here, definitely reccomed if you are looking for a new vet!”

“I have a very anxious pup. I’ve had the worst luck finding a doctor who I felt truly cared about my dog and what his behavioral issues are, usually it’s always docs prescribing meds. Dr.Welsh and her staff were out of this world, they took over two hours with my dog, gaining trust and observing him and never forced him to the back to do any kind of treatment (though I gave them permission because he was refusing nail trim).

I really have no words for all the staff here, I can’t wait to see how much Blue grows with this kind of care and treatment.

He allowed them to touch him, trim his nails and he’s never done that before. We got SO much information from just our first visit, everything was explained before adding to his treatment, you can tell how much they love animals. I will be bringing my other pup for services as well 🩷”

“We brought ZEUS, our Rottweiler, into the Salem, MA location due to two severe hot spots on his neck. Dr. Scott Hamberg was fantastic, as was the entire staff.

Dr. Hamberg took his time explaining how to move forward with ZEUS’ treatment and what signs to look out for in the future if we suspect ZEUS is beginning to have another bout of hot spots. What we especially appreciated was that he explained everything in layman’s terms, making it easy for us to understand exactly what was going on and what we needed to do.

We really appreciated the time, care, and attention he gave to ZEUS and to us. Highly recommend Dr. Hamberg and the entire team!”
