HORRIBLE COMPANY
Hires small family business contractors but refuses to pay them once job is completed.
Disgusting. Beware if you rely on them for your home they don't pay their contractors hired. Tradesmen do not accept jobs offered by Richard Lennox he will refuse to pay you.

BEWARE!! Very deceptive practices. Had large fire in my property with extensive water damage, they tell you they work with the Insurance Company but immediately pounce on you to sign a waver to make sure they can come after you. Then once the Insurance Company denies their overcharges and unnecessary costs they avoid you with figures as well as the insurance company making your claim all that harder to settle. They avoided constant requests by me in person and writing to give me figures on to date costs, running expenses and predicted future costs because they kept adding in work that was never approved and unnecessary and in the end slap you with a bill they can't justify. Make sure if you have a fire or any type of disaster in your property you get a company that is experienced and knowledgeable on the work and can provide you the details you want, and need,... this company was definitely not that!

If you call them during an emergency at night, be aware that they expect you to let them do the work without giving you an estimate when they arrive. If you don't agree that, they charge hundreds of Dollars for showing up. I don't want anyone else to through what we went through with them.

Extremely fast and professional service. Everyone we spoke to and dealt with with kind, understanding and efficient. We were lucky that we didn't have too much damage from the water in the basement and even though it was probably a smaller job for them, they treated us like it was a big import and job. I hope we don't have to call them again, but if we ever have something we need a company like this for, we certainly will call them.

We wanted to add that they are only concerned about what the insurance will cover. You can see that noted on google reviews- this is what we meant by we could feel the dishonesty. Use to live on The Cape - so this was a couple of years back but a friend of mine was thinking of using them and this why I am posting now about our experience.

Not timely.. was out of my house 7 months.. quality of work poor.. tile is cracking, grout has come out in multiple places, cabinets, not even. Trash cabinet not fixed. They can say what they want about my disease.. they didn’t do a quality job..Services: Painting

We have used Disaster Specialists on Cape Cod twice with mixed results. On one job, they cleaned up a basement after a gross septic backup. They were thorough and did a great job promptly. On the second job, they renovated a bathroom that had mold damage. This was a major disappointment. Won't use them for anything but cleanups going forward. The job had several delays and took almost 5 months for a standard bathroom. It was not the cheapest bid, it went way overdue, and the quality was sup par as there were multiple mistakes that required a re-do.

Hot water tank failed ...what a mess! Rodney was professional and caring . He treated the water damaged items like they were his own, cleaned everything up, came back when he said he would to take back the equipment, just an overall great job.

After a burst pipe in our over loaded basement, we called Disaster Specialists. They sent a crew right away, cleaned things up, dried and sanitized the whole area. The crew lugged out all the damaged belongings, photographed and inventoried them. My basement has never looked or smelled better!

Excellent - Excellent- Excellent We had a water leak in the finished basement. By the time was noted there was damage. I was in a panic. From the first phone call someone was at our home that afternoon. The situation could have deteriorated. The team was there quickly to find the leak( which was not easy) and repair. They were professional and we were amazed how clean everything was at the end of each day. The second team did an amazing job putting the finished basement back to the original condition. The project manager, Ian, kept me well informed regarding timing and next steps. Disaster Specialist helped co-ordinate with the insurance company. The situation was seamless working with Disaster Specialist. Every person we dealt with from the first phone call to putting the furniture back in place was exceptional.

When I realized there was a problem in my basement because of the sewage pump failing, I called my insurance agent immediately. Within 1 day the adjuster was here and instantly on the phone with Disaster Specialist. Less than 1 hr later Ian was here assessing what needed to be done and was on the phone with a crew. The response was amazing. And the cleaning process was outstanding. Not only did they work efficiently, they worked with professionalism, kindness, and took great care to ensure my unrecoverable items were taken out of my home. The Odor was significantly minimized by the end the end of the day. I am on my 6 th day of being dried out. Hopefully next week reconstruction will commence.
