Nice people, but if you're thinking this is a refined glass gallery and studio, think again. Just odd.

David and Yukimi truly have a gift. Their studio has beautiful pieces and they are a treat to talk to. Yukimi is the sweetest and explains her craft to you. 100% worth a visit!

The last time we were in Cape Code, the McDermott Studio was closed, so we thought we'd try again this time, and our persistence paid off. We met the gracious and friendly owner, Mr. McDermott, who was only too glad to show us around the gallery on the backside of the house and talk about many of the pieces there for sale. He also invited us to stay and watch the glassblowing team start work in the large building at the back of the property. The backyard has touches of whimsy as various pieces of glass have been worked into the landscaping. We found the glass at the McDermott Studio to be bold and imaginative, with some pieces showing an attractive Asian approach to color and design, reflecting Mrs. McDermott's heritage. While we were looking around, the younger in our party made friends with one of the two large boxer dogs. While we couldn't stay to watch the artists at work, we did purchase a couple of pieces, and Mr. McDermott was kind enough to arrange to delay shipping them until after we'd returned home the next week (-- the pieces arrived in excellent condition). Overall, a great visit with a renowned local artist. Do note that the studio's street-side sign is quite small (a village ordinance, no doubt) and easy to miss. The studio is right across the street from the very visible Lamberts Market.

If you are lucky enough to see the whole process, it is quite an art and dance for multiple people to blow glass and get it to the finished product, well worth the time spent

Not sure which I loved more; the Gallery or the glass blowing studio. The artists here have an obvious passion for their craft. Wish I could have bought more of their outstanding blown glass artistry.

Very friendly family-owned business. You can watch the process, and they explain the steps they are taking as they create the art. Lots of products available in all price ranges.
