Great location! Drive up here from the South Shore to pick up Agricola. They were nice enough to hold the game for me for a couple days! When I arrived they helped me locate an expansion as well! It was a popular store with lots of people playing games in the back. That was nice to see. It’s also in a very convenient location on Route 1.

I always have a great experience at the Saugus location. Everybody is so friendly and knowledgeable. If I ever need help, all the employees go above and beyond. I wish there was a location closer to me so I can support them more. Fantastic staff!

Good space to play games at fair prices. Despite not being operated by the owner like other more homey card shops, you are still treated really nice by the employees here. Tournaments can be rough with some unoriginal people playing the same best deck in the meta, but still some cool people that come here as well so it evens out.. You just have to watch out for cheaters. I've noticed cheating going on at two different battleground stores with magic. I feel like this type of behavior happens less at the more homey shops, but there be people just trying to get a win to qualify for regionals and they're already playing the best deck. People like Noah are shady cheats. They play so fast, but when it's time to cheat they stall and they maneuver cards so keep your eyes on

Really friendly atmosphere. Went in to find some cards and the staff were very helpful in not only finding me what I wanted but giving me suggestions which I always appreciate.

Nice little shop, plenty of stock for miniature games and DND (not sure about Magic as I don't play). Staff was very friendly and inviting.

Great place to play MTG. Felt very welcome and has a friendly atmosphere. Felt safe seeing a rainbow flag. Looking forward to returning soon!

I don't usually write google reviews, but I had an absolutely incredible experience at Battleground Games last weekend. I was in the Salem area from out of town for the weekend and was looking for somewhere to play in the MTG LOTR prerelease. I called ahead and spoke with Michael over the phone. He was enthusiastic, courteous, and quickly answered all of my questions. I showed up for the 7:30PM prerelease and had an absolute blast. The store is clean, has a very generous gaming space, and has a ton of well organized MTG singles. The staff was very helpful and the folks playing in the prerelease at the store were very welcoming. I had a blast playing and would HIGHLY recommend this as a great place to play, especially if you're a local, or like me where looking for an event on your vacation. 10/10 would recommend

Love this store, friendly, knowledgeable staff, nice selection of individual MtG cards for sale, along with other games too. Large gaming area as well. Very clean and neat.
