I wish I could leave "0" stars. BEWARE!!!! This pet store is still selling puppies from a PUPPY MILL in Minnesota known for breeding dogs under abusive conditions. Check out this link from Dog Advocates of MA: Please be reminded PUPPY MILLS over breed puppies in overcrowded, unsanitary conditions with a lack of preventive veterinary care. Pet Express purchases these puppies for pennies on the dollar and then sells the puppies for very high prices...often twice as much as you would pay from a responsible local breeder. Unfortunately my very naive 22 year old son purchased and came home with a 12 week old golden retriever from Pet Express on a whim for $3000. He was so proud to boast that the puppy was AKC registered! I bet a lot of people fall for this sales pitch. Any dog can be registered with the AKC. My son was also told a lot of misinformation about the breed. Don't get me wrong, I am also upset with my son for not doing his research. Initially, I wanted my son to return the puppy to Pet Express but after some thought we couldn't do it. The puppy is already 12 weeks old and the older he gets the chances of him being sold are slim. What does Pet Express do with the puppies that don't get sold? I now consider my son's puppy a rescue dog... a very expensive rescue dog.

But is it puppy's fautlt that they come from a puppy mill? I don't understand your reasoning. All the more reason you should rescue that puppy, no?

Horrible place here the manager is racist not one black employee works there and I said black not “Hispanic “ the employees mishandled the puppies banging the creat doors on their paws “ their way of keeping them in the cage “ the place is filthy “old nasty mops and brooms “ nobody dose what their supposed to do they fake act like their cleaning but they don’t the employees are listening to inappropriate music shaking their behinds smoking vapes dogs have broken fans so their sitting in that cage all day fyi this the same place that use to be on the Lynn way I hope this shyty place goes out of business AND IF YOU HAVE A BLACK LAST NAME they will decline you I got married to a Hispanic man recently and got accepted because the change in my last name I applied when they was on the Lynn way kept getting denied!!! and I know a few people who tried to apply and got denieddefinitely better off adopting most of these puppies they get come in sick from a breeder they had for a long time yeah they have a vet that comes In I wouldn’t advise it PLEASE ADOPT these pet stores are cruel and if you don’t have good credit or 3,800 or more off rip don’t come here if you return a dog because you feel the dog might not be a good fit for you and your family or any other reason they put you on a list to where you can never buy again “from all their locations “ and don’t give the dog away they will band you for that as well loved the puppies but I was treated horribly and fired for no reason and HR and the manger are very close so I wouldn’t even bother applying here or buying a dog here for these reasons and iflgbt and non blacks was treated way better than me and they was doing a whole lot of inappropriate shyt the lady was nasty towards me constantly passive aggressive told me I wasn’t allowed to touch certain dogs but other employees could not to mention their suppose to change their scrubs when dealing with the sick dogs or the dogs that are new arrivals and stay in that room they don’t they cross contaminate their scrubs like I said if you was her favorite you was allowed to do what you wanted even not come in for days and still have a jobit was a horrible horrible experience

Please don't support this place. The puppies come from cruel puppy mills and are shipped here to be sold at ridiculously high prices. I can't believe they are still allowed to be in business. The puppies are put in tiny cages with no bedding and made to drink out of a water bottle meant for a hamster. If you want a dog please rescue; go to your local humane society.

UNETHICAL! Refused several times for no good reason to reveal breeder’s details before purchase. Any ethical outfit would want you to know and to be able to do background research on a breeder before purchase. Kept in TINY boxes and socialized only with the staff - any canine behaviorist will tell you that’s literally the opposite of raising a well-rounded puppy! They are not walked, exercise consists only of the playtime they have (in another small box) for a period of time far less than required for most breeds in here.Buying from here would be considered a ‘rescue’ by any rescue standards.

Pet Express in Saugus Ma is and awful place to purchase a pet from. The dogs are OVER PRICED not only are they over priced you dont know where the puppies come from. The puppies smell horrendous which caused my child to have an awful allergy attack... You walk out paying $5g with an awful smelling dog.... Please you are better off to adopt or go through a breeder for the price you are paying at this place.

Sad to see they’re still in business. All the puppies come from the Hunte Corp. huge puppy mill broker. Disgusting.

scam! Two years ago we bought a supposed Husky for $3500, too much money for a dog because we thought it would be a pure husky, but it is not a husky, it was super small. so, what can we do now? do not buy any dog in this store, it is a scam

Staff was extremely nice and knowledgeable. Mary was amazing and the entire place was clean. We are so happy to have found our new fur baby!

Places like these need to be taken down. It's incredibly inhumane to have a living thing in such a small, glass cage with kids banging on the windows all day. It makes me sick to my stomach.

Great place to buy pets! They had over 12 dogs on display at the time of my visit.

F*** this place and all places like it. Puppies are not items to be sold. I'd love to see what their return policy is. If you want a purebred puppy find a real breeder with both parents on the premises, papers, and one that doesn't overbred the mom and destroy her body. And let her "live" in a cage her whole life and have her puppies shipped to garbage places like this. So many of these dogs get dumped at shelters because people didn't know what they were getting themselves into because these places hand them out like hotcakes to anyone flashing a credit card. Do the right thing.

The pups were over priced and so are their products but they do allow you to fool around with the dogs behind the glass unlike some pet stores and there is always one pup you can pet
