I love going to planet fitness. The place is clean, workers are nice and it's a safe environment. The trainer is absolutely amazing (Allison) and I have improved my strength and balance since attending her classes. The only thing this planet needs are more medicine balls and kettlebells. As well as a few more mats.

Manager hit me for a late payment without any notification of cc malfunction and blamed me for not knowing about it due to identity fraudVery classy and won’t let me cancel via phone, I’d rather not see them again!

This is a very large and well-lit Planet Fitness. I went to three different Rhode Island Planet Fitness’s over five years and cancelled my PF membership in December’23. There are a few reasons I left. First, you are bombarded with news stations and commercials when you’re on ellipticals and treadmills at all Planet Fitnesses which isn’t good for mental health. Second, working out got pretty boring without anyone coaching, offering training, or interacting at all. Third, I decided my fitness was worth a bigger investment and joined CrossFit.

So far, the worst planet fitness I’ve been too. The people that work there, are the rudest, and it’s harder to get out of the their membership than to get a divorce. If you want them to work with you, keep dreaming, they won’t.

The trainer Allison F. Is great. She individualizes each session and really works with her clients to provide a great fun workout. She provides help on correct form and challenges her clients - one of the best trainers I’ve ever had.

Having visited numerous planet fitness facilities across the region and even in other states, it becomes apparent what one can expect. Occasionally, however, you come across a location that stands out with the perfect blend of natural lighting, a meticulously planned layout of machines and equipment, well-appointed locker rooms, and spa areas – and this establishment is one of those exceptional finds. The staff is not only friendly but also attentive, and fellow gym members exhibit a commendable focus on their workouts, contributing to a positive and energizing atmosphere without being disruptive.

Used to be 5 stars until about 8 months ago. I’m tired of working out and there being actual children beside me. 16 and up I can deal with because I started out young as well but younger than that? What is going on here? This place used to be a 5.

Not enough mirrors. Lights too bright in free weight area when lying down you go blind. Other than that the place is very clean.

Noticed that hand sanitizer is no longer available? This is hilarious to me since like another review states there are two older women who walk together on treadmills who NEVER clean up after themselves. I also had the pleasure of being next to a man wearing a trash bag type jacket on a treadmill the other day who could not stop coughing and then literally sneezed on me!!! I have never been to a gym with more gross people than this one. It’s unfortunate because the facility is big, the staff is great but unfortunately the general community of people who go here, especially the older generations are absolutely rude and disgusting and have little respect for others around them.

Signed up my 16 y/o son with a one year prepaid contract. My son, presently uses his school gym and therefore no longer needed the membership. I attempted to cancel and was told I cannot- as my son is the member and it is a prepaid one year contract. I explained I paid the membership and if the membership cannot be cancelled make me the primary member. I was told that cannot be done either, because of the contract with my son. Again, my son was 16 when we joined, he cannot sign contracts and I paid for the membership. So- as it stands PF has $340 and no one will be using the gym. Simply switching the membership to the person(me) that paid for the membership seems reasonable.
