Very friendly, helpful staff. ATM may be dodgy but the staff's great attitudes make up for that. Whoever gave them a 1 star is crazy

After decades of banking with Citizens Bank I will be closing all of my accounts and refinancing my mortgage with another bank that will not only appreciate my business but treat me with courtesy and respect. I called with a concern and spoke with Becky at the Sharon Branch. I could here her laughing and speaking with another employee while I was trying to provide information about an issue that I had with one of my accounts. Very surprising that in such a competitive industry Citizens Bank would forget who the customer is and more importantly how to treat them. I would not recommend Citizens Bank for any service or financial products they offer.

This is the best branch of Citizens bank. I have my coconut with citizens for many years. I have been to several branches and used their 800 number on many occasions. If I were to rate their services at other locations on a 1-5 rating scale, 5 being best, 800 will get rating of -2. Canton branch will get 4, Chestnut Hill will get 3. Sharon staff are competent, committed, and friendly. Many thanks and best wishes to them (especially Rosa, Anne, and Brian).

This branch itself and the employees in it were great. But Citizens Bank was a poor choice for my small business account. The monthly fee was too much for the support I received and I wished I had done some comparison shopping with other banks. But since the branch was one block away from my business I was fine paying for the convenience. The real problem started when I moved across the country. My business went with me and suddenly there were no Citizens Banks nearby. I tried to close my account online but there is no option to do this neither is there any support for this. I called to close my account and was told that I could not close it until I had a zero balance in the account. They told me over the phone that they could not just close my account and mail me a check for the balance. So I went to an ATM for a bank I do have an account with checked my balance and wrote a check to close the account. Citizens Bank charged my a three dollar "foreign ATM" fee that was not recorded with the balance inquiry. So when the check cleared I was hit with multiple overdraft fees resulting in a negative balance of over $60. I had to work with someone in customer service for a half hour to be able to try to pay this fee over the phone to get my balance back to zero so I could finally close the account. Of course, I was hit with a $20 fee to pay this over the phone. I'm hoping I'll finally be at a zero balance tomorrow so I can finally close the account without paying them anymore money. I can understand trying to keep customers. But this was ridiculous.
