This is such an excellent little bookstore. You’ll find mostly used books, mostly collectable or special interest. They have an amazing selection of local town history books for Western Mass, New Hampshire and Vermont plus a good deal of ephemera like maps, vintage photography, ads, and maps. The hours are a bit more limited these days, they are open on Saturdays during the Summer.

This place is magical and has such a nice, warm vibe. Wasn’t sure what to expect walking in but there are a lot of “ephemera” - prints, pictures, postcards… and books. You can tell this place was made with love.

I loved this shop. Immediately welcomed with such a sweet HELLO from Nancy herself. The place may not be as big as the big chain stores but she has it all! Everything is separated by topic and she really has good taste with what she sells. The place has great energy and she really is so pleasant to talk to. She really is proud of her shop. I found a book that I was soooo happy to have found, it was very old, wrapped in plastic and the price was very reasonable. The shop just fits in so perfectly in this town. When you imagine a small New England town THIS IS SO IT!! In fact a few movies have filmed here because of how charming it is. She doesn't accept card but there are 4 ATMs in walking distance right across the bridge. I was so happy to have gone. I will be back. :) Thank you Nancy

Every time I visit the bridge of flowers I make it a point to plan at least an extra hour to browse through this wonderful little shop. This trip, I brought my daughter and granddaughter, I thinks they are hooked too.

I love this bookstore. We went to visit a friend in Greenfield and went to Shelburne Falls to walk around before going to an art class at one of the galleries in town. I love used book stores. This one is amazing. There is a lot to look at. It isn't just books but also ephemera, especially from New England. And if you like railroad history, there is a huge section on that as well (books & ephemera). The shopkeeper is very nice. It is a little crowded so just be patient if there are many patrons. I will be going back next time I'm in MA.

Such a lovely little bookshop, architecturally appealing and full of all sorts of rarities and oddities. The owner herself is genuinely friendly and charming.

A very well organized and interesting collection that is also reasonably priced. I found some great old farming books and enjoyed perusing the old technical books as well. Owner is very friendly and knowledgeable. Nicely situated in the middle of Shelburne Falls, steps away from the Bridge of Flowers

Stopped at this bookstore in April. All kinds of books and many interesting bits that you didn’t even know you might be looking for! Nancy is helpful if you have a specific need, and willing to let you browse as long as you’d like. We found a couple of books each and read through several pieces of ephemera as we looked amongst the treasures. Hidden bits of history, nostalgia and just plain fun!

You'll need time to hunt for that subject because there's so many items to search through. Great if you are doing research on the area. One downside you need cash

Nancy L. Dole is a charming bookstore of the kind that is too hard to find these days. Filled with lots of interesting items, books, prints etc at reasonable prices. Also if you happen to leave your phone in there as I did, Nancy will be ever so kind to mail it back very quickly indeed!

Well organized with the pleasant serendipity of finding things you weren't looking for. No visit to the Valley is complete without a stop at Nancy's shop.
