We are starting our third lease at Avalon and couldn’t have nicer things to say about the management and maintenance team. JR and Katriana specifically went above and beyond to help meet our special requests and JR did everything in his power to ensure we were able to move in on our desired date. The staff at Avalon always demonstrates how much they care about their residents. They have truly exceeded every expectation to support us and to create a smooth moving process.

I love Avalon Dental. The clinic is clean and organized. The quality of services they have is top notch. Most of all the staff are very efficient, accommodating and give you a good smile every time you come in. ? Kudos!

We came from Kuwait to the United States, specifically Boston, for a long treatment trip. This accommodation was chosen because of the lively location and the good size of the apartment. Catriana received me and explained everything I needed and was patient with me because I am not fluent in the English language. There are two points I am not comfortable with:The first is the parking, as I use two elevators to get between the apartment and the parking, and this is annoyingThe second point is that there is no cart to transport luggage without a prior request from the residence administration

I have lived in Avalon at Assembly row for two years. I have wonderful experience living in this apartment, and raising my kid with kind leasing managers and maintenance team.

We moved into a 2 bed, 2 bath on the second floor with our patio facing the pool just about two months ago and signed a 19 month lease for $4,820 per month... We figured that hopefully, by the time our lease would be ending, it would be Winter and pricing here or elsewhere might actually be lower than next July if we had taken only the 12 month lease. The apartment's actual location within the building is perfect, as is the access to everything within Assembly Row (like restaurants, the movie theater and retail shopping) and the apartment itself spacious and fully renovated, but there are way too many issues we have already started to experience. On move-in day, we noticed water running down the livingroom wall caused by the shower leaking in the apartment above, and that same weekend began hearing running and thumping and what sounded like bowling balls being dropped through our ceiling starting at about 10 AM to at least midnight (which is still happening.) We quickly learned that the excessive noise was due to a mid-sized Lab darting around after going out for a potty break or playing fetch with her owners... In addition, the lab has separation anxiety because every time she is left alone she begins barking until they return. There just aren't enough words to emphasize how continuous and loud these noises really are! Two months later, we are still trying to resolve the problem with the tenants upstairs, but they honestly don't seem to be responding well at this point and probably assume we are exaggerating it. Shortly after the initial leak, we discovered water pouring out into the hallway from a utility room door which backs to our kitchen, and of course, our luck, it was just past 5 PM so emergency maintenance had to be contacted... Eventually, Roto-Rooter did come out and the carpeting was shampooed to get rid of the nasty drain water from a backed-up sink in that area. And if these issues are not enough, for some odd reason, a breaker keeps tripping even though there are only a TV, cable box, wifi router and a couple of LED lights (All low wattage) on the circuit causing us to have to wait for everything to reboot before getting service back. Last but certainly not least, through no fault but our own for not researching it first, we realized pretty quickly that our building is directly on the flight path for Boston Logan Airport... When at its peak, we hear planes flying overhead about once per minute, and the planes fly very low and are quite loud. With all this being said, I honestly think the worst to deal with are the inconsiderate neighbors upstairs and the heavy air traffic all day and night. Everything else here at Avalon Assembly is manageable or just not worth complaining about right now... We are hoping that there will be no other surprises ahead and that maybe, just maybe, we were hit upfront with so many issues and that things will FINALLY settle down now. It is disheartening though that we had to go through so much so soon after moving in, but as mentioned before, the place is large with lots of closets for storage, feels more like a home than an apartment, and seems to have social gatherings during the year (such as a summer barbecue with live music and beer and wine) for residents to meet up, so we do like enough things about living here and will stay put for at least now til our lease is over. 3.5

I'm disappointed to leave this review but after reading some of the others, I'm relieved that I'm not the only one who's had a less-than-stellar living experience, especially since we're all paying a lot to be here. There are a lot of pros: walkability, proximity to Mystic River, great food, super close to the T.The worst part of living here is foot fall noise above your head. Although it looks like a "luxury" building this is not a steel/concrete building, this is one of those one-plus-fives (technically one-plus-four), where the top four floors were built with wood frame construction. This means that unless your upstairs neighbor is a very considerate light walker or has a ton of rugs down, you will hear every step your upstairs neighbor makes. I hear drawers opening, furniture sliding, and of course anything that falls on the floor will give you a mini heart attack. Despite multiple complaints to management it's become apparent that they don't check for proper rugs/carpeting, which I also read from another review. Also, the wood above my ceiling/below my neighbor's floor makes sharp cracking noises even when the person upstairs seems to try to walk quietly. I don't know if this is due to extremely cheap wood used during construction, but the constant cracking noises are incredibly annoying, and they bother my dog as well. Avoiding random, constant noise from above is absolutely impossible unless you're lucky enough to be on the top floor. If you're hard of hearing or somehow have a high tolerance for banging noises above your head, this might be the place for you. But it's not for me and even though I'm tired of moving, I can't wait until I can find another place to live.

Pros:-beautiful walkable area-nice appliances-nice balcony because its a corner 2 bedroom apartment-generally clean buildingCons:-I can hear everything my neighbor one floor up is doing, thin walls and flooring.-I lost 3 packages this week and was told to go to the police and that they can’t check cameras (there are cameras)-hard to reach leasing office as they keep adding layers to reach them, by appointment, constantly on holiday, they blacked out their windows so you cant see if they’re in.-had a vacuum cleaner and sunglasses stolen from my car in the closed parking garage

We are a corporate housing provider that took an apartment at this community. It is a beautiful community and the location is fabulous. There was a lot of back and forth with our client about what they actually wanted. The team here was amazing in working with us to accommodate all our changes. Shout out to Paola and the Avalon Corporate Housing Department.

We recently moved into Avalon at Assembly Row and our leasing experience was absolutely great. Everyone from the Avalon team, especially Katriana was very helpful in every step of the process as we slowly moved into our apartment over a span of 6 weeks (due to long distance relocation). We love the size of our apartment and the location as well. The only reason for a 4 star rating instead of 5 star is due to most appliances and cabinets in the apartment being quite old. We did not know that coming in. We do know that the community is going through a renovation and they are remodeling units slowly.Assembly Row neighborhood is very lively and conveniently located at walking distance to anything that is needed on a day to day basis. It is also very close to public transit which is a huge plus. We'd highly recommend this neighborhood and look forward to our stay here!
