Over the last 6 months I've been going here, I have not had a SINGLE day where I didn't have to alter or eliminate parts of my workout because the machine I need is busy. Most machines they only have one of. So even if you go during off hours, you will be waiting for something. Also, for the love of Arnold Schwarzenegger, please fix the bench that's been broken since I started here. For the price, the experience you get is pretty abysmal.

Awful gym. Do not associate with BSC (or NYSC?) in general.

Super busy for the size. Equipment is old and beat up. Not something I would recommend.

Equipment is a bit dated. Biggest issue is no towel service at this location. Showers worked and had warm water (unlike Boylston St location). Sauna looked like it would have been good, 187F reading (some other BSC/NYSC locations, like Boylston St gym, only get to 150F) but didn’t try because didn’t have two towels.

review takes into account this is a gym located in city, so different expectations vs gym in suburbs (such as LA fitness). overall, pretty good gym for me who works out 5-6times a week. about 3-4 squat racks in total (3 can be modified to do other workouts), 2+ horizontal and 2+ incline bench press etc. one platform upstairs for deadlifting. plenty of free weights. room for cycling upstairs, many treadmills, could use more elliptical machines, some stairmasters do not work.. I usually do not have any issue getting on the machines/equipment i need since i workout in mornings.. can’t say much about how busy it is after work hours.. overall solid choice

Just unpleasant enough that I never feel great going here, but the location is extremely convenient and it's marginally better than Planet Fitness, so I'm still going.

Has everything a basic person needs. Only issues I have is that I’ve NEVER seen anyone wipe down their equipment after use, the cleaning supplies are often out of stock, the bathroom trash is always full(at least in the men’s), gym etiquette isn’t common, and my hands are extremely dirty and yellowed after handling the kettlebells and dumbbells. I feel that this is the bare minimum of what the floor staff should be taking care of. I’ve also haven’t seen any floor staff besides the one person at the front desk

Great gym. Nice equipment and large space. Has everything you need for weight lifting or cardio + an upstairs turf section and sauna. Anyone rating this poorly must be looking for issues because the staff are very nice and it is a very clean gym. It definitely gets busy around peak hours, but that’s expected. Even at the most busy time (5-7), it may only add 10 minutes to my 1 hour workouts. Definitely recommend this spot.

I wish I liked this gym because it's walkable from my house and the price is affordable. But after going for about 6 months I find that the gym is constantly dirty, smells like odor and sweat, and they are running out of paper towels and cleaning wipes constantly. Also the machines are not bolted into the floor in some cases not working correctly without signage. I've never seen someone vacuum or clean even though they tend to have 4-5 employees working at a time. When I wipe down my own area before working out, I'm picking up a ton of dirt, hair, and other unpleasant things. I don't mind cleaning my area before working out but I shouldn't have to spend 30 mins of my workout making sure the space is relatively clean. They also don't provide towels because of "covid" and the locker rooms are falling apart (half the lockers are falling off the hinges) If you wanna charge someone 50+ dollars and an annual fee the gym should be clean and smell of cleaning products, not be dingy and offering no towels. Wish this gym was in better shape but it's not and doesn't look likes it's getting any better... going to take my business elsewhere at this point.Hope this helps! Not worth the money I would go somewhere else.

This is a solid gym with enough equipment and not a huge membership. This is entirely because of the ridiculous $50 monthly membership fee. I'm not made of money but working out needs to be close to home so it's a bit of a must. Sorry NYSC, the staff is great and it's big enough but I'm bouncing as soon as something a little cheaper (non-planet fitness) opens up near by.

your average gym with your average weights in a great location. not too crowded, especially if you work from home and can make it to off hours. does its job perfectly. can’t ask for much more!

It's a fully equipped gym with lots of people working out here and there's good vibes, locker room is clean. Con: 1. In the hot summer they should turn up the AC; 2. There are extremely few workout benches in the gym which is simply appalling, in a gym with so many people working out you would assume they would have benches everywhere for people to use, but on the second floor I only saw one, on the first floor I saw two and both occupied. PLEASE ADD MORE BENCHES !!!!!!!!!

Worst gym ever. Always crowded. Gym equipment always breaks down and locker room looks like recent footage of the Midwest after the tornadoes went through it. I cancelled membership at the end of February and I am still being charged. Went in and they said they don’t see any cancellation, but had me sign one again.

It's a fine gym and the staff are all great. The issue I have with this place is that their equipment will break and they won't get it fixed. They currently have maybe 20 treadmills and 7 of them are broken and not usable. It's been this way for months. If you want to retain your customers, fix your equipment. There are too many gyms around the area that don't have this issue and your customers will leave you for them.
