“I’ve been meaning to stop into Savenor’s for ages, and finally made it in after scoring a hard-to-find Too Good To Go bag. The staff was friendly and the bag itself felt promising - it was heavy. Unfortunately, when I got to the car and looked inside, it was a produce bag and everything except a single russet potato and a small ficelle was rotting. The main item was a five-pound butternut squash that had was mushy at the top. It was a real disappointment.
I did end up purchasing a boutique-flavor Jeni’s ice cream, but overall the shop didn’t leave a great impression. I live less than half a mile away and had hoped this would become a regular stop, but the experience missed the mark for me.”

Tony has owned this joint for 64 years, I learned, as I walked in the lot and saw this adorable ol man butchering on a table behind the counter. $8 for a really nice little Italian sub, and the meat all looked fantastic that was in the deli case. “The best chicken cutlets - perfectly sliced and trimmed - I only want cutlets from Sulmona! And the Roastacciini - lamb skewers are the best - must have for any bbq or pizza party. WE LOVE THEM, cant get enough, highly recommend and purchase from here beginning of every summer. Now that I know about the cutlets may have to go back more often!! YUM!!”

“I've previously reviewed Lamberts, but I should parse the review. Plaza Fish Market is 50% of the reason why I love Lamberts. To be real, it's basically a butcher shop. And excellent one, btw. Great value. For fifteen years I could buy fresh scrod (haddock, cod, whatever) for $4.99/lb. Crazy, huh? Thick rib-eyes for $8.99/lb. Salmon for half the price you'd see from other local fishmongers. So, folks are telling me there's a pandemic going on and prices are doubling every time I blink. But I still love them.”
