The QR code wasn't working on my phone so y'all are gonna have to settle for this google review instead.
Today I was helped by Madeline and Alexander. Madeline was extremely quick to help me out and even had the manufacturer's coupon on hand already that I needed applied to my prescription. Alexander was great as well (and is the reason I'm writing this review - thanks for the reminder)
This is extremely overdue for Taylor, Ashanti, Madeline, and the other Black tech who's name I sincerely apologize for not remembering at the moment. Every time I'm there, which is far more often than I care to admit, they're all extremely helpful. Straight to the point and willing to answer as many questions as needed. Taylor especially has been extremely patient with me as I've had to duke it out with my insurance on multiple occasions, once having to take my phone quite a few times when my insurance rep had questions because at that point I was already asking for my insurance's clinician's license number. I've only directly talked to Madeline once or twice, but from all the times I've had to hang out at the pharmacy you can tell she really cares about her team and her patients. I don't try to eavesdrop, but more often than not I hear her actively helping educate her team while they work through orders and calls together. My favorite bit of information I've learned is that vets don't have NPI numbers, which can make following up on scripts quite interesting at times.
To the team on the ground - keep it up. You're fantastic and don't let anyone tell you otherwise.
To CVS corporate - give them all raises and amend your staffing model to have the appropriate number of team members for the patient load. They work too hard and care too much to not have the support that they deserve.

They greeted me when I walked in, and the workers were easy to find when I needed help. It is small, but clean.

If your only child's life depends on it, don't go to this CVS. I promise you, the pain of losing them is nothing compared to having to have your time wasted here.

This is my local CVS. Getting prescriptions filled here is difficult. While their staff is kind, CVS as a company clearly leaves their pharmacy and store desperately understaffed. I have spent 22 minutes waiting for a glass case to be unlocked here after ringing for help the last time I needed electronics (yes, I timed it). The staff are constantly harangued by irate customers and bad actors, and I feel bad for them. But this seems largely due to the severe understaffing. It’s awful. If you are able to get your prescriptions elsewhere, I encourage you to. No company should be able to treat its employees and customers this way.

The retail store staff here are very nice and helpful - the cashiers, the stock people, the greeters.

A very positive and friendly experience. The staff were all very observant to my needs, possessed a good sense of humor, help me locate my desired items in a big store, and then went out of their way to help me at the register. Very professional! Thank you!

Had a 5pm vaccine appointment, checked in at not even 5:05 and she said “sit down and they’ll be right with you”. 40 minutes later nothing happened so I just got up and left. There were 3-5 workers behind the counter the whole time and not 1 could’ve noticed I was sitting directly in front of them at the vaccine waiting area for so long? I also checked online while I was waiting and it said I was never even checked in. Thanks for lying and wasting my time!

I'm not typically one to judge a place solely on customer service, especially knowing how understaffed pharmacies are at this time. That said, the customer service (or lack thereof) I've experienced here, has severely impeded my ability to get medications/vaccines/products effectively, and has made me feel uncomfortable stepping foot in this store.
I've been getting my prescriptions here for the past 5 years, and I've seen the pharmacy go from okay to outright terrible. Aside from the staff being generally rude and apathetic, there have been times I've had to wait 30+ minutes at the counter before being helped. This has been especially frustrating when I've made eye contact with the staff and been completely ignored, rather than being told "We'll be right with you" or "Sorry, we're busy at the moment." There have been times my meds weren't covered by insurance, and when I asked why, I was met with "I don't know," and no effort was made to look into it. The phones are rarely answered (I've called and waited for upwards of an hour before giving up). I got my covid and flu vaccines this year, and both times I had to wait 20+ minutes after checking in to be seen. I want to be empathetic to the fact that they're clearly understaffed. But the attitude I've been met with by several staff members tells me there's a strong lack of care.
The store itself is no picnic either. While the staff politely greet you when you walk in (which is appreciated), don't even bother pressing the "assistance needed" buttons if you need a cabinet unlocked...you won't be helped. You'd be better off just asking a staff member on the other side of the store to come unlock it for you (also this isn't their fault, but why are we suddenly locking up deodorants and lotions and soaps??). The check-out staff has also made inappropriate and judgmental comments about some of my purchases, such as when I had to ask for covid tests and the ever-embarrassing Plan B. Overall my shopping trips have gotten progressively longer and more uncomfortable, which is not what you want at your neighborhood essentials store.
I hate to complain because the staff are all human beings, and I'm sure there's a lack of company morale or fair pay that affects the service here. I just hope they are able to hire more staff or become more informed/attentive, especially in the pharmacy. Until then, I would advise my Davis Square neighbors to avoid shopping here if they can, or to at least go in with minimal expectations.

I had to wait 40 minutes for my vaccines. The pharmacists were nice, just clearly understaffed.

The employees at this store are horrible. Unprofessional rude jerks. Accusing customers of stealing who are sick and trying to get home? Terrible

I've been going here for 5+ years because of the convenience but unfortunately it has become the WORST place to pick up your medication.
Hope it improves

They left people bring a dog inside of the store. It's against the State Realth regulations.

Didn’t really enjoy spending 45+ minutes inside cvs in intense pain, two hours after getting all four wisdom teeth extracted, all because the pharmacist, Elizabeth Kahsai, forgot to call my name to give me my antibiotics.
She never even apologized and just shrugged her shoulders when the pharmacy tech correctly informed her that my name was never called.
0/10 hellish experience

there needs to be repercussions for terrible pharmacists. The pharmacist here doesn't know much, and she refused to talk to me because she was annoyed. Avoid at all costs.
