My son has been at this Kindercare location for over a year now and we could not ask for a better environment for him in which to grow and develop. All the teachers at the center are amazing, and you can immediately tell that they do their work with the utmost passion, dedication, and professionalism. Our son is completely obsessed with all of them :) Thanks to the wonderful Kindercare curriculum, our son is exposed to new activities daily, from crafts, to painting, to music and more, and we see him already building friendships with the other children in his class (even at such an early age), which is so important to us. We really appreciate the real-time updates we get from the center through the app, as well as regular photos which help me stay connected with him throughout the day. Thank to you the Kindercare team for the amazing work that you do on a daily basis.

Do not bring your children to this kindercare center unless you can verify that they have hired a whole new staff of good teachers and managers and that there is at least a month or 2 of track record of keeping the center open for the hours they quote on their website. We chose to bring our infant to kindercare because it was what we thought was a reputable national organization and because it had the best hours listed (7am-6pm) of any daycare around that we saw….boy were we fooled. We showed up and never had those hours for the entire year we were there. Quickly the hours whittled down to 8:30-5 and eventually the center lost all its teachers due to poor leadership/management. Then they started having unpredictable all day closures and random schedules where our daughter could only come 2-3 days per week. A total nightmare, as we are 2 working parents with high intensity, long hour jobs. I ended up having so much anxiety and stress around last minute closures because sometimes they wouldn’t tell us until the morning of that we couldn’t bring our child in that day. When I spoke with higher level management about these issues, they all played the name blame game. Leadership did not take accountability for the fact that this happened under their watch.I am not impressed and we got out of this daycare as fast as possible. The one good thing I can say is that my daughter met her favorite teacher at kindercare (who now is no longer at the center because of its issues) and still gets to have her as a part time babysitter.

Quick Read: This center is in a very bad place right now, if you have any other child care options, I would pursue them.Long Read: We started in the infant room and had a magical experience with the teachers there. My son was loved and nurtured and I can not say enough good things about that experience. Once he went into the toddler room, it was very different. There was much less structure and they were not very good at communicating what they were doing during the day. However, the teachers were nice, and our son was with his friends, so we stayed. Then the management issues started. Teachers started leaving in droves and this Kindercare location started cutting their hours. For example, they randomly closed for a whole week and then decided to only open three rotating days a week. It became a scheduling hell trying to find back-up care for different days every week and we were told that this would be for the foreseeable future. All the parents scrambled to find other centers that would take their children, we had to hire a flexible nanny, and none of the teachers that we started with are left. It was a shame to watch this center crumble so quickly. We are now at the Bright Horizons and it is shocking how organized and well-run they are by comparison. The teachers are also so engaged and happy. I feel guilty for keeping my son at such a toxic daycare for so long. If I had realized how little we were getting for our money, I would have left 6 months ago. When I spoke to the District Leader at KinderCare she focused on defending her hiring decisions and blaming the teachers instead of the fact that they couldn't stay open 5 days a week during regular business hours. There are obviously some major issues with the KinderCare leadership and structure. I hope this helps other families make an informed decision and hopefully saves them from the stress, uncertainty, and unnecessary internal strife that we have put up with this year.

More than half of the teachers have left in a few months and the center is unable to provide reliable care at the moment. We had an issue with the new director too. I would like to bring my child back someday, but things need to improve drastically beforehand.

All the positive things to say about this place are negated by their inability to staff the center appropriately enough to keep it open as advertised. There have been multiple closures weekly for several weeks with no end in sight as more teachers continue to depart. It has devolved into a frustrating and disappointing experience.

We had the opportunity to send our toddler (20 months) to KinderCare in Davis Square for the summer. Abby and her team of teachers are so engaging, welcoming and supportive of learning. While we were only there for 3 months, we felt like we got to know everyone really well, even amidst the COVID world we live in today. Our son developed so many words and found a new love for reading, which we struggled with before, during his time at KinderCare. We highly recommend sending your children there, you will not be disappointed. They are always keeping the kids busy with art activities, outdoor excursions and lots of learning! Thanks Abby & team, it was hard to say goodbye but we promise to come visit again soon!

We enrolled our daughter back in February and it has been an amazing experience so far. We were hesitant at first based on past reviews but the staff has changed over since then. Abby (the director) was upfront with us on those reviews and explained what they have done to prevent any issues going forward. Abby and Shauna (Assistant Director) do an amazing job with communicating about what is going on at the center. They also respond quickly to emails. All the teachers have been great (infant room and toddler room) and our daughter enjoys going to daycare each day. They update the app throughout the day with diaper changes, food, naps and pictures. It’s fun to see her interacting and doing activities. I am very glad we chose Davis Square KinderCare!

My daughter has been a student here since she was 1 years old in the toddler class! All the teachers there are beyond wonderful, loving, and caring. The NEW directors(Abby&Shauna) that have taken over the place ARE BEYOND WONDERFUL BEYOND WORDS! Who hear you! Listen to your needs! And do something about your concerns. My daughter is now 2 moving into the toddler 2 classroom with amazing teachers who’s circle time is amazing! Kids are engaged and best of all get to have a lot of fun. Mr. Fernando used to be my daughters teacher in toddler 1 a long while and he has loved, guided, taking care and taught my daughter things I couldn’t even imagine when she would get home from school! My family is truly appreciative for him! To wrap it up all time best daycare for children I found my forever daycare for my baby! When it comes to my child I always look forward to a better tomorrow for her future because This school has accepted my words! Continue my training that I do at home with her during the day! I love KinderCare in Davis square! Good job guys! You rock?

We enrolled our 8 month old son at the start of 2021 and are so glad we chose the Davis Square Kinder Care. At first, I was hesitant due to the old bad reviews, but I asked Abby, the new Director, what steps she has taken and will continue to take to turn the center around. She gave a very thorough answer. Our son has been enrolled for 6 weeks now and has done so well. His social skills and fear of strangers has improved and he's actually happy when we leave the house to go to daycare every morning!Communication with teachers and staff is very transparent, with meals, diapers, sleep, and enrichment activities logged into the app. Abby also sends regular emails for center updates, like activity calendars, snow day alerts, etc. Plus, the center follows COVID-19 safety measures with temperature checks at drop-off and classes stay in pods to mitigate the chance of infection spreading from one class to another.

My son will be 2 yrs old in March and he's been going to KinderCare since he was 6/7 months old. My experience with this daycare has been nothing but positive. He is well cared for and is frequently smiling/happy when I pick him up at the end of the day and as a parent that is a great feeling. One of my favorite pros about KinderCare is the technology. I'm able to see what's going on daily with pics and cute videos of my little guy having fun and learning. The environment is safe, wonderful, caring and naturing. The teachers/staff are well versed and supportive. I highly recommend this daycare.

Stay far, far away. This used to be a good daycare with loving teachers we considered extensions of our family. But with a new director starting earlier this year, it's all gone downhill. None of the long-time teachers remain. The current teachers have only a few months (weeks?) of experience and it shows. Among recent parents there have been rumors of teachers having shaken a baby, gotten physical with a toddler, bruises on children, fallen asleep on the job, not fed babies or changed their diapers, misplaced their supplies and food, and not communicated with parents. The administration has been dismissive to parents' concerns. There are multiple investigations into this daycare with the state.
