I’ve been to a number of goodwills across the country, and this is BY FAR the best inventory. I got almost my entire wardrobe here, plus my Christmas tree. Also, the clothes turn over almost daily, so if you don’t find what you need, just come back tomorrow.
They don’t have dressing rooms, so I’d advise wearing something you can layer try-on clothes over.
Be sure not to miss the puzzles on the lower level :)

Great staff, great selection, but the organization is BAFFLING. things seem to be organized by color and not by size which makes finding things very difficult. It also seemed like many items (such as jeans were not ticketed with the price but we're tagged with a color. I assume that color correlated to the price but I couldn't find anywhere where those prices were listed.
I guess this would be perfect if you really enjoyed the hunt and had all day to spend there, but very overwhelming for the average person

I've shopped here for years now. Found some gems too. Renovation changes took a little getting use to a couple of weeks ago but it's cleaner. Men's mixed with women's clothing was a very strange decision. Not a good one. I donate clothes that I don't wear anymore due to size and age. Then I do some shopping for clothes, electronics , and houseware goods. Then I go to McKinnon's to pick up some meats for dinners. Seasoned BBQ ribs in packages come out excellent after 30-40 minutes in toaster oven or broil in oven 😀 and $3-5 per pack of big ribs! They sell my favorite turkey wings for a great price too. Beat inflation...recycle...thrift is green...gives jobs to those in need...find high end clothes at low costs...I shop every Sunday!

One if the better Boston-area Goodwills I’ve been to. Great book selection, and furniture section (entire floor). It’s multiple floors and pretty well organized considering everything. Also, love the cashiers and employees but that’s the case for most Goodwills I’ve been to.

Plenty of gems have been found here. Prices aren't always as cheap as I'd hope but the quality of some finds are quite good. Even electronics I've gotten have always worked. Usually worth a stop in!

I'm genuinely baffled at all the reviews complaining that this store is "hard to get to." It's on 3-4 separate bus lines and is less than a 5 minute walk from the Davis Square T stop, right in the heart of one of the most walkable neighborhoods in one of the most walkable cities in the country.
Those reviews reflect some user error, IMO.

It's reopened folks! Everything is soooooo organized and clean!
You cannot imagine clothes are all organized by color😭😭it's just so satisfying just by looking at them.

One of my favorite places to shop. The staff needs a bit better training, though. We were almost run over several times by staff busting through the doors or pushing things down the aisle without looking. And when checking out the checker refused to charge childrens clothes prices for children's clothes, so I ended up leaving them. He said it had to say "children's" on the tag to get the price. I showed him multiple times that it was children's based on measurements but he flat told me I was wrong and i had to pay adult pricing. Crummy experience.

This place has gotten a bit pricey maybe they don’t come around used items often or gave the employees a raise? Either way, I remember getting a lot more with $20. I miss the old days when these places weren’t crowded everyday and there was better inventory.
Edit: seems to have more things now! It’s just so busy from the college students going you have to go early.

Great store been here before but today 10/6/24 the entire thing is boarded up saying temp closed for renovations. They could at least update their posts. Its not exactly easy to get too!

THIS STORE IS CLOSED UNTIL LATE OCTOBER 2024, it says open but it’s not goodwill needs to do better and update this. This has happened to me twice at different goodwill locations (love shopping at this location tho super duper sad

you need to correct the opening hours in google because the store is not open! it takes 20 minutes to drive to find out that the store is being renovated!
