Biggest Scam Ever. Billed by Partners, a facility that I never use, for something done by a doctor I have never heard of. at a hospital, on the day of my surgery that is not part of Mass General Brigham n a bill that has an incorrect Middle initial and a last name consisting of 14 letters by combining my current marital name with the marital name I had 55 years ago when I worked at MGH attached at the end. Initially I had called and given them my insurance number (which they should have had because everything else was billed and paid for with the legitimate facility and physician several months ago.) But then I got another bill for the same lousy $13.86 and I looked more closely at the bill and saw all the discrepancies. Called again and asked what was going on. They told me to email my correct name to
[email protected] but I could not find any reference for what EMPIOPS was so decided to not give them any more information. WHO ARE THESE PEOPLE????

I live outside of Boston and there are Ma. Gen. practices where I live. Great Drs.The problem I have is with billing. 'Surprise billing' and billing in my portal that makes absolutely no sense and incorrect info. I've also been over billed. When it is questioned.. I got a response that includes the 'legal team'. I find this unethical and quite disgusting. Then I'm stonewalled..for something that is not my fault. Outrageous behavior! There's a law from 2020 regarding 'surprise billing'.I asked friends and one had issue with billing and incorrect coding. I now seriously wonder how many others are trapped in this cycle of being stonewalled and paying potential overcharges. The reason for 1 star.. is BILLING. The Drs. and nurses, in my area, are great.. No issue, My 'poor' rating is exclusively in regard to billing practices, mistakes and lack of transparency with itemized bills. Moral of the story is to watch one's bills closely from Ma. Gen/Partners. In my case, I have no choice as they lost my trust totally. I stand by this.I'm interested in other stories regarding this dynamic or lack thereof, and hoping I am not alone.

The care from the doctors is good, but the billing department is not competent. After conducting an internal audit they sent me a refund for a sizable amount of money explaining that I was charged in error and did not need to pay the bill I had already paid. Three months later they began sending me bills for the same payment they had refunded. I have had four conversations and still do not have an explanation. They should conduct an internal audit of their internal auditing system!

Mass General Brigham is an uncaring organization that believes its providers' "expertise" is worth $1,000, regardless of whether that expertise turns out to be correct or not. Mass General Brigham will blame its outrageous billing practices on the Mass. attorney general, the doctor, and you -- the patient -- before it takes accountability for its own pricing policy. I would love for Mass General Brigham CEO Anne Klibanski to contact me to explain why a two-minute procedure involving no special technology and only one provider should cost me more than two -thirds of my monthly rent -- especially when that procedure did not work. I did some quick research and discovered that several Mass General Brigham executives earn $1 million+ in salary. I don't have that kind of money. Mass General Brigham executives are getting rich by using their patients as piggy banks.

I was invited to go for my 1st Covid vaccine this week at Mass General Brigham at Assembly Row. They did an excellent job!! Free parking, signs and friendly people everywhere to direct you to the right spot. Check in was safe, well organized and safe. Chairs set up 6 feet apart in a row, with people to give you the shot immediately followed by someone to schedule your second shot. The handout I received covered everything I needed to know: possible side effects, what to know, when to worry, what to do, etc. It was well organized and easy to understand. Great experience!!

HATE MGH ERAfter 5+ hours of waiting. You are left in the hallway while staff are on social media. Providers do not ask for consent to use a scribe. I should have gone to BWH, partners should not have MGH it is ruining Brigham’s reputation. You are left wondering what’s happening while in pain. Leaving people in hallways is very uncomfortable and humiliating while providers are busy socializing. Patients are hooked up to machines while waiting around for treatment in the hallway. Even though there are spaces available, even space behind a curtain would be more private than waiting in the open. I have asked if I can drink water and have been given only a non answer. Whoever the directors are not keeping up with quality patient care here. I’ve been here for almost six hours. ONLY GO TO THIS HOSPITAL IF YOU DONT CARE FOR YOUR HEALTH OR TIME!

Hey PArtners Healthcare! IS Transphobia a prerequisite requirement to come work for you? I am an MTF trans female and have had terrible experience after terrible experience at Brigham and MGH. I was just in MGH ER and was so poorly treated I left with an IV still in my arm. Seriously guys I get treated better than this at Billerica house of corrections!
