I stopped by the Middlesex Federal Saving Bank and talked to Lisa O'Leary the assistant branch manager about opening an account. Laura started sharing her views of social issues and told me how much disrespect white people get these days. The line that I found very hateful was "Mayor Wu hates white people". I wrote an email to John Wiseman the CEO of Middlesex Federal about the incident and asked (1) How common is this kind of hate speech at Middlesex Federal Savings (2) Are there consequences for Middlesex Federal Bank employees who engage in hate speech? I never received a written response. I reported it to Senator Elizabeth Warren's office. I came back a few weeks later and told Lisa that I found that comment very offensive. She then said "that's not important because Mayor Wu is the mayor of Boston and we are in Somerville" and walked away.

I have 4 different accounts with this bank. Great staff. They know me by first name. I like their app for moving money around between the different accounts and, I can easily deposit a check with my cell phone. The Davis Sq. branch has Safety Deposit Boxes. The boxes start at $45 per year! The Teele Sq. branch has off street parking and a drive through window. I've been with this bank for over 30 years now.

Stay away from this organization and it's partner Novo Bank. They closed my account for no legitimate reason. Fine but you have to return the $1000s in deposits. Over two months and no check or return of funds. Will be filing complaints with federal and state regulators. This is the worst financial institution I've ever heard of.

One thing so important today is feeling like you matter, and the experience you will receive from the personnel who services you Is caring and professional. Being an elder sometimes patience is needed And I get that with all my questions and transactions. Thank you for your service. Davis sq. bank, this review was for! That is the bank I do business with.
