River front is always good. We landed up here just by chance. Mystic river walk around the park is amazing with Lotus flowers blooming.

I’m not American but American history is fascinating to me. So this was one of the many places I enjoyed visiting while I was in Massachusetts. It’s a really beautiful park and I stayed here for almost an hour. I didn’t know the old powder house was so significant to the revolution either. One of my favourite places in Massachusetts.

This is a wonderful and unique park! Aside from the historic nature of the site (which is documented a bit in the park), I love the hill and the way in which the paths have flowed with the hill and greenery to create a unique feel both for the park as a whole and individual paths, despite the size of the park as a whole not being too huge. A lovely pit stop for a walking adventure in Somerville for sure!

One of my favorite local parks in Somerville, I first stumbled upon it on a walk at night when I moved into the area - it looked like the enchanted forest! Great place for dogs, picnics, and journaling/reading during the day. Plenty of benches to sit on and some really cool landmarks from centuries ago so you feel like you’re surrounded by nature and history. I have a special nook that I like to hide away from all the noise, to the side by the sheep statues :) Also very central location and close to Tufts and some really cool local restaurants right across the street if you’re hungry and want to grab a bite afterwards!
Dog-friendliness: I see people walking and playing with their dogs here all the time. Great place to socialize and meet other dog owners if that’s your thing.

Dog-friendliness: This is a dog friendly park with strict leash, laws, and curb laws. You must pick up after your animals.Picnic area: This is a historic site from the revolutionary war, where the British originally kept the gunpowder, but eventually the American Minuteman soldiers took over

It would be perfect if there are public restrooms near the park.

Located in a quaint old house, this parking offers a unique experience. Ample parking space, affordable rates and friendly staff make it a great choice for short or long term stays. Highly recommended! I love it

We sing acapella shape note music from the Sacred Harp, outside, up by the mill, from 10:30 till 12:30, on the Saturday before the 4th Sunday of each month - depending on weather.
