Somerville Public Library West Branch is a beautifully renovated community resource that offers a mix of old and new features. The library has a modern addition that provides ample space for visitors to work, browse magazines, or read. The main floor includes power-equipped tables for remote work and a variety of new releases. The children's area on the second floor is a favorite spot for kids, with bean bags, Legos, toys, and a room dedicated to children's books and activities. It is a welcoming place where children can make friends, enjoy sing-alongs, story time, and play with building blocks. The staff are friendly, supportive, and patient, making visitors feel comfortable and appreciated. Although the library is small, it is a vital community hub that offers computers and a pleasant environment for all ages. However, some find the Saturday closing time at 1:00 pm and Sunday closure inconvenient. Overall, the library is a beautiful and lively place that serves as a great space for learning, playing, and relaxing.
The staff are always so helpful and kind. It has two floors and lots of little cubby corners to escape with reading material. They welcome all.

It's a nice library. I like the unique floor structure, which splits the library in a way that gives it unique character. Personally, I like the downstairs portion of the library, as its quiet and peaceful to work or study in.

Just moved to the area and love this library! However, it’s strange that a public resource such as a library would close at 1:00pm on Saturday, and not open at all on Sunday.
