Great service. Toucan partners with my insurance and fixed my car after a hit and run. Gustavo from Toucan managed the whole process. He was very helpful and went the extra mile to communicate updates I needed to know. Additionally, they cleaned the inside and outside of my car without asking! Definitely recommend!###Update, 1 week later: after my first appointment, there was an additional issue with one of my tires — Gustavo immediately took care of this and made sure my car was in great shape. Incredible customer service! Thank you Toucan!!

OMG! Not only did they do a beautiful job replacing my bumper after a minor accident, but when I picked up my car, it was sparkling clean inside and out!!! It was such an unexpected and nice surprise. They really went above and beyond at Toucan and everyone I dealt with on the phone and in person was so friendly and helpful! They were super helpful fixing up my Subaru Forester after somebody hit it parked on the street overnight. When I got the car back everything was fixed and clean. They communicated super well, gave me updates on when the work would be done, and made sure everything was taken care of. Would recommend

I encountered Toucan Auto Center by driving by, and accidentally seeing the sign for it - although I am long time Somerville resident, I never noticed these guys. Anyway, after checking a very few Google reviews (all excellent ones), I decided to try my luck, as I needed auto body work done on the rear bumper of our brand new car before the school year started (we use the car to drive the kids around). In any case, I met Jim, who was super helpful and nice, and who, most importantly, said that he could squeeze me in their schedule practically any time I am ready. Not to mention that he gave me a very reasonable estimate, and explained all the work that would go into it. And then, a day earlier than expected, he finished the job, and the painting blended superbly with the rest of the car! From now on, Jim and his crew are my go-to people, although I hope that I won't need their service anytime soon, :).Services: Painting

We brought our BMW 328i in for body work after an accident. The work was excellent. What stood out more so than the great work was the customer service and consistent communication every step of the way. In a world where good customer service is a forgotten art as it seems it is something business' no longer take pride in, it was refreshing to work with someone who still sees the value in it. I would probably give this 3.5 stars if I could. I picked Somerville Auto Center because of the wonderful reviews and the service was almost great, but missed the mark. First, the pros: - They agreed to evaluate our bumper damage next day and gave us a punctual (and I believe fair) quote - Very friendly service in person - They detail your car so you pick it up very clean, which is just a nice treat Now, the cons: - After taking our deposit they said they would call when the parts were in - a few weeks went by and no call, so I called them and they said the parts already had arrived. Great! But not sure how long it would have taken for them to get in touch if I hadn't called - Initially was told they'd be able to get it done in one day, but when we dropped it off on a Friday they said it would take multiple days. Okay, fine, but I wouldn't have planned on a Friday if I knew they would have it all weekend. On Monday, called to see when it would be ready and they said maybe not until Tuesday. Partly not their fault since a fog light arrived broken, but again, just not a lot of proactive communication and 4 days is a long time to not have a car you thought you'd dropped off for 1 day. - After picking up our car and getting home, noticed that there is a scratch on our brand new bumper. Yes, I should have checked more carefully before driving away, but disappointing. The car is not otherwise in pristine condition and having just given up our car for 4 days, probably not worth getting it fixed, but annoying to say the least. Before seeing the scratch, I would have given them another chance. Now I will probably seek services elsewhere next time I'm in need.
