I had a great experience at the Somerville USPS store. I sent important international documents, and Marcello was invaluable, professional, and kind. He explained everything clearly, double-checked the details and made the entire process smooth and stress-free. It’s rare to feel genuinely cared for at a post office, but that’s precisely how I felt here.
I wish the interior were more modern, but the quality of service more than made up for it.
Thanks again to Marcello and the team!

Of all the post offices I’ve visited, I never have any problems with this one. Staff are never mean or rude to me (like others mention), and there’s rarely a long line.

Worst customer service ever very rude people, even though I had information from USPS website saying that I can ship my item, they said they wouldn’t and not even have the information about it, one keep asking another about it. Hope I never have to go there again.

It’s a government agency so have low expectations.
Just had to drop off a package.

Package was shipped here and some idiot who works here sent it back to the facility, 3 days late and counting.

I live very near this USPS and was expecting a package delivery to my home address on a Tuesday this past week. I was working from home the day of the delivery and the package was marked delivered at 12:49pm. I went downstairs at 1:15pm and nothing was outside, nothing around my house, I even checked other houses. I then checked my camera and it also did not show anyone delivering anything, or anyone even stopping by. I called the manager at this location who assured me that his carrier had delivered the package per his GPS coordinates at the time of delivery. After talking to the manager, a couple hours later I go out to find the carrier who looped back to my house. I spoke with the carrier who then tells me he rung our bell, and delivered earlier, although his GPS coordinates showed him delivering "across the street." Two stories not matching up, and a camera showing no one. Long story short, there's something shady going on at this specific USPS.

Great folks working the front desk. The clerk helped me with a passport renewal, and was extremely kind and patient. He even re-packaged my items when he asked if I remembered to write my DOB on the check, which I forgot. Excellent service.

I've just had the most absurd experience of my life. I work as a paralegal and I came in to send some certified mail for my employer and was going to pay with a business check. They asked me for my ID which I didn't have on me but was happy to run back to my house and get, I live very near this location. Then they informed me that they wouldn't accept my ID unless the address matched the business address. I'm sorry, use your brains. Even the owner of the business wouldn't live at the office. No such ID exists for any business. Their rationale? That they don't know me. Really stopping the fraudsters there. I'd totally get it if I was buying a money order. I was literally sending mail. I've never had this issue at any USPS location. Doing exactly what I've done today. It's a business check! It's not a personal check. Do we not see the difference?

I don’t doubt the bad reviews, but I had a quick transaction of just returning an item, and the staff was pleasant. It was empty when I visited, so it was a smooth and fast experience.

Pat and the other gentleman is a pleasure to work with when I am being helped by them for my postal needs. The female short curly hair glasses she can be nasty to customers. I’ve witnessed this a few times now.
