Arrived late driving down some windy roads and the peraon behind the counter was super helpful to a newbie like me. They had a huge selection, and its great to support a local business where you can get some advice. When i was done i found a nice spot just down the road on the deerfield and try out my new gear. It was a pretty nice fly shop. Lots of stuff. Mostly a trout tying fly shop. I catch the owner right before it close on a rain Saturday and he hung out didn't pressure me at all to leave. Overall check it out if you in the area.

The exceptional reputation is well deserved. Coming from outside of New England, it was hard for me to get back to flyfishing. Here I got some great advice on which flies work and where and was able to get a full starter pack for very reasonable price. I will be back for more guidance and to refill on flies.

Great help and super friendly service, lots of fly tying materials and great quality flies. I stopped in two days in a row (because I forgot half of what I wanted the first time) and both times I received a lot of great help regardless of how many basic beginner questions I asked and even got help on a saltwater fishing trip I'll be going on later. I feel like I could even stop in there and get tips on fly fishing Mars if I needed. There's even a nice dog there to keep my non-fishing partner interested. Top quality shop!

Great experience at the Deerfield Fly Shop in Deerfield, MA! The owner was super nice and down to earth. There was no pressure to buy anything (although I did!). Looking forward to lessons come the spring time. Even my boyfriend who has been fly fishing for years is going to take a few lessons as well! Thank you so much!

Went there today and I told him I was a beginner and he set me up with some great flies. It’s a very good store and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for fly fishing gear.
