Magic wings was very enjoyable. Nice fall drive from Springfield. I had taken my disabled mom who is in a wheel chair which was fairly easy to maneuver throughout. Only problem was the didn't have auto doors so it made it a little difficult getting in and out. It wasn't just butterflies, the also have a separate room of tanks with insects mostly from other countries, couldn't look at some of them but very blown away by the variety of ones I would probably never come across unless I traveled. The butterfly sanctuary was such a calming atmosphere, very tropical with butterflies everywhere. So beautiful! Also birds were mixed in. They had little fish ponds. I really enjoyed it and would go back and stay a little longer than I did. Just wish the food court was open, we went a little after lunch time. But u should definitely experience it ❤️

My family had an amazing day here. My wife just walked around the conservatory and and enjoy the butterfly flying in front of her and behind her and over her head. My little one just ran around the small area screaming at the butterflies and trying to catch a little chicks which is not allowed.

This was a fun place to stop and visit with butterflies. The staff are friendly. There were several species of butterflies flitting about.
There were other displays as well, including several species of frogs, lizards, insects and tortoises.

Great place, Lots to see, more than expected. The little button quails were an extra cute treat.

A peaceful place to explore! Great stop with the little ones. Many butterflies and we watched a few chyralyses open. They have tropical plants, too.

Easily one of the best museums to take your partner or family! Small facility but value packed for the size and price. Educational, beautiful, relaxing. A good day trip. Small food court, restrooms, and largely handicap accessible! You can buy baby quail here, adopt butterflies to hatch, and praying mantis for your garden!!

Things for parents to keep in mind:Strollers are not allowed inside the conservatory. There is a coat closet where you can the stroller, but it’s better to just leave them in the car. Also leave the jackets and hats in the car as well, as it’s really warm in the conservatory.Bonus tip: have your kids wear bright colors or flower print shirts to attract the butterflies to sit on them!
