“I went in today, what a wonderful shop it is. 60% is furniture and home decoration and 40% is well cared for/curated clothes from the 60’s up. I came away with some lovely finds. 60’s dresses, 80’s ball gown and silk tops. Prices are good and the gentleman there today was very friendly and helpful (more with the restaurant reservations than the clothes). Everything’s beautifully laid out so really easy to navigate and no odours which was a bonus. I left behind some stunning dresses as I am travelling, so no luggage space, no doubt I’ll be thinking about those for the next few decades. ?”
“Wonderful, eclectic collection of antiques and cool old things. Extremely reasonably priced (especially for the area). Friendly, knowledgeable and helpful staff. Forever on my short-list for last minute Xmas shopping.”
“The clerk was friendly and helpful in locating antique categories of interest in the showplace. Their attention help locate items of interest. They were also helpful in selection places to eat while in town.”
“Don’t miss this gem if you’re in the Great Barrington area. As others have said, there is a great mix of fairly priced vintage and antique items. Definitely will be making frequent stops here!”

“I had a very good experience with this company. They answered
a question I had about an item and I purchased it. I made
arrangements with the local ups store to ship it and everything
went off flawlessly. I would highly recommend this company.”
“What a delightful general store! Felt like I was walking into Rose Apothecary from Schitt’s Creek, but dare I say, Hillsdale General Store takes the cake. Great selection of home goods (including a swoon worthy selection of copper pots, pans, and serveware). Everything would make a fantastic hostess, birthday or holiday gift!”

“I have only gone to G. Leibovitz Restoration -- from repairs to restoration. It is the only place to so in my opinion. Conveniently located next to the Copake Auction. A true artisian.”
“Sam went above and beyond the call of duty to find a specific antique ceramic for us, for a very special family reason. Sam is a wonderful person and really goes the extra mile for his customers. Never hesitate to do business with him, as he is honest and will always treat you right......Frank in Clinton NJ”

“This place is wonderful..... Especially since the new owner took over in July of 2022. The game has definitely been stepped up. This has become a real destination for connoisseurs, designers and collectors. With prices on items ranging from $10 and up, there is something for everyone in all categories. The constantly changing inventory keeps one wanting to come back. I personally don't know of a better place than this for at least a hundred miles. Whether you like folk art, modernism, renaissance, or Georgian, there is something for everyone. The staff under the new ownership is polite, courteous, and knowledgeable.”
“Great. We bought a number of items and are thrilled with the wide selection of stuff. Extra glad the owner decided to open on a Monday, which he is usually closed .”
“Kate and Robin are a sister team that are knowledgeable and have a ever changing shop full of hand picked treasures and other vendors as well ... definitely worth stopping by from time time !”

“When I walked in, I was like a kid in a candy store. There is SO much beautiful glassware here. Hard to find, and rare stuff - they have it all. Don't expect Walmart prices, but you get what you pay for. Absolutely amazing and I can't wait to go back!”
“Great place to look for antiques. There is such a wife variety including sculpture, paintings, furniture and accessories. They have more formal antiques so you might not see farmhouse or country styles but it is fun to see such a variety. We got to meet the owner, Joe, and he was a joy to speak to. He is very knowledgeable and will spend time with you talking antiques or any other topic without being overbearing. We had a very enjoyable visit.”
