Look. I am 54 Big years old. I have been getting pedicures for AT LEAST 30 years. And the pedicures I get at Nail Nirvana are so incredibly amazingly good I hesitate to even compare them to any I've had before. No. Really. Amazing.I live in Vermont. It is DIFFICULT go find good spa type services at home. Also? I work. So I can't make appointments in the middle of the day. And!! My work is being the short order cook in my own Diner. So I am ON my feet 10-11 hours a day. Moving. I need my feet to hurt. But I am also, personally, invested in always, always having nice, soft feet and pretty/fun toenails. It's a commitment. The kind of commitment I am willing to drive for. I drive over 1.5 hrs to get a pedicure at Nail Nirvana. It is worth it. And then some.Nail Nirvana is inside a hair salon that shares a building with an auto repair shop. I'm not even kidding. It's Amazing! But also easy to miss on your first attempt to find them. I found Nail Nirvana by Googling and searching on Yelp in the Northampton area since I already drive down for sushi and time off/away on my days off. Here's the thing: your pedicure will be the best you've ever had because your feet will actually be soaked and softened long enough to get off any tough skin/calluses/etc. You will not be rushed. You will be the only person getting a pedicure (or manicure) and PLENTY of time will have been allotted for your service. And!And!!You can get ACTUAL Nail art. Amazing, beautiful, free hand, Nail art.I've never seen anything like it anywhere else on a pedicure or manicure. Amazing! Hand painted! Glitter! Jewels!!I was at the dermatologist several weeks ago having an exam and I took my socks off so he could check my feet for moles and he exclaimed: "LOOK AT YOUR TOES!!"Exactly.Services: Nail designs

Tonight was my very first appointment with Torrie and it will definitely will not be my last. She is the most personable nail stylist I have ever had. I went in for a mani and pedi and absolutely loved the relaxing and calm atmosphere she has created in her own space within the Hair Station. I've been to the salons with the spa pedicures and all I can think of is germs and fungus. No worries with Torrie. Even the basin for her heated, massaging foot tub is disposable. And although it's not something I need, with this type of foot bath she is both handicapped accommodating and accessible. Her nail art is fabulous. I always want fun but still need to be professional and subtle and she blended the two perfectly!!! Thank you Torrie! I will definitely be back for another wonderful experience!!!

This is one experience I'm truly on the fence about. Let me start with the 'pros': Torri, the sole proprietor, is extremely nice and very friendly. The atmosphere, while different than what I'm used to, is quite homey, (but if you go to the bathroom be prepared for a rather testosterone filled atmosphere. She shares the bathroom with an auto body shop). If you're lucky enough to get serviced when the salon itself isn't open, no other customers will be there since Torri is a 'one-girl' show. (She rents her small space from the hair salon owners). Another pro (or it could be considered a con depending on your point of view and time constraints), is Torri takes her time with you. You won't feel rushed. Now for the 'cons': Torri doesn't have the amenities one might expect when receiving a professional mani pedi, such as a massage chair, a whirlpool foot bath (it's basically a large Tupperware type tub) or even a nail drying station. She doesn't use any tools other than a wood stick to push your cuticles back...no cutting of cuticles whether it's the back or side of your nails, so if you need that done you may want to ask her about it before booking your appt. I found the area along the sides of my nails to be in need of attention and had to do it myself once I got home. There isn't much in the way of massaging that takes place, whether it is your feet or hands, something I've come to expect at this price point of $45 (I've even gotten more when I've paid half this amount). As previously mentioned, she takes her time which is good, but it took more than an hour and a half which is a lot considering no trim work was done, and very little in the way of callous removal....maybe ten seconds on each foot. I'm sure Torri has her license, but it wasn't displayed and her work lacked the confidence one might expect from an experienced technician. I admire women who start their own businesses with little to no start up $ and I want them to succeed. She is no exception. It is for that reason I hesitated to write this review, but perhaps if she reads it it might help her improve her services.

I've been trying to find a go-to nail salon for a while now and tried a few places in town but wasn't thrilled with anything. I decided to purchase a groupon for Nail Nirvana and I'm so glad I did. The salon is clean, Torrie is great to chat with, and my gel manicure came out perfect. I had a great experience and will definitely be coming back.
