I recently used this moving company in July 2025. The movers were great with moving and professional. I’m disappointed at the staff contacting me after the move several hours after move was completed and I paid for services over the phone hours prior asking for more money due to their error (paying for the movers to drive back to the office). At time of service, I signed a completed form that stated I paid for my move. Having James Cooper contact me several times about this hours later just seemed wildly inappropriate and overall left me feeling like this is something they do.
The movers were great. Staff just seemed to not understand that services were rendered and completed.

My fiancée and I are very happy with Fresh Start. Their quote was competitive and they made the whole process easy for us. Will and his team were friendly, professional, and powerful! They moved the contents of our two-bedroom apartment in Massachusetts, plus some seriously heavy wooden furniture we inherited, to our new home in Connecticut and impressed us with their strength, speed, and care handling our items.

Dwayne and his moving partner did an amazing job helping us with our move. They were punctual and efficient. They also helped wrap all of our furniture up so that nothing was damaged in the move. Thanks to them things went seamlessly. Would definitely recommend these guys!

From the time James came to give us a quote, we knew we had the right company to move us. We were moving from our home of 39 years and as difficult as that was, David, Brian and Dwayne made it very close to stress free. They were professional, efficient and fun to be around. It was amazing watching them work together. I would recommend this crew to anyone. Thank you Fresh Start.

Efficient!Patient!Flexible!
Due to my PODS issue, my husband changed schedule several times. But they were very patient to response. And two young movers were efficient!

Polite, professional and courteous! All our personal items arrived at our new house, only item that was damaged was an inexpensive big kids desk which was credited in the final price. Moved several very heavy items (fireplace/TV stand, workout equipment, large BBQ grill, etc.), everything was wrapped in plastic and then in moving blankets. There were no complaints or negative attitudes, moving crew were helpful and got our big move done in only 5 hours. Owner--James even came out ahead of the move for an on-site quote and made sure we knew to contact him directly with any issues or concerns. Highly recommend this company!

Fresh start has been an absolute godsend. I’ve hired them twice over the span of a few weeks and everyone I’ve had the pleasure of working with has been incredibly hard working, thorough, and professional. I’ve had the pleasure of working with William and Dwayne twice and they are the upmost hard working individuals. All I had to do was tell them where everything went and they took care of everything. I also had the pleasure of working with Tim and Marcus who were so fast packing all my things with meticulous care and speed. I am so grateful to have hired Fresh start as it made my packing/moving so stress free for me.

First time I ever hired movers that quoted me a price and the final bill was exactly what they quoted. Very professional, courteous, friendly.. Only wish I could have tipped more. Thanks guys!
So July 1, 2025- used this company again, based on my last experience. They did not disappoint! They quoted me for a certain amount of time, but because they finished sooner than expected, I ended up paying substantially less! I called the office to actually tip more ( this was my daughter’s move) they are the most respectful, kind staff ever. From the customer service,to the guys doing the heavy lifting! Could NOT be more happy with this company! Thanks again! And will be using you for my next move!

I can’t recommend Fresh Start Moving highly enough. This was my second time using their services, and once again, they exceeded expectations. David, Brian, and Rocky worked incredibly hard and went above and beyond throughout the entire move. They were fast, careful with all the furniture, and made sure everything was set up exactly where I wanted it. On top of that, they were polite, professional, and brought a great sense of humor that made the day much easier.
