Worst experience. I go in for an ev none of them have charge. I ask for an upgrade to a gas car they tell me they can’t give me one even if I paid a difference because they got a new manager and five call outs and there were 11 cars idle and 11 out of service and they didn’t have the inventory to help. Not to mention when I got there they did not even greet me. The next day when I drop off the car one of the employees mentioned that I look so much better dressed that he didn’t recognize me. We do not need to know each other or be dressed well to get good customer service. Train your employees to provide better service. I waited as two people were seen before me as well for over an hour. I’ll stick to enterprise. I also still have not gotten my security deposit back. Never going here again.

Go to enterprise save the stress. I made a reservation a week in advance. When i got there i waited forever and the car wasnt even ready and was dirty. I drop the car back off an hour before it was do back. The next day i see my card was charged another $100 I call and they said that the hertz location never closed the contract and hasn't marked the car as returned and they will resolve it. The next day i got hit with another $100 charge I called and they said the same excuse that the contract was still open and they promise to resolve it. Another day goes by and I see I was charged a $300 late fee. They didn't close out the contract until the following Monday even though i dropped it off the Friday before on time. So i got charged $100 a day for the three days it took them to close my contract out. I called them and went back to the hertz location they admitted to being at fault and failing to close the contract out as soon as i dropped off car and waited three days to do it they told me to call billing and have them call the location and he will confirm i dropped it off on time. I called and got the run around that they need to open an investigation and it take 7 buinsess days. I told them to call the location they will confirm and she said i cant i just open an investigation.Nothing but headaches I will never use hertz again

Do not rent from this place if you want to drop off outside of rental hours. They had no care to mention this at the Hertz counter, and quoted me a price that was wrong because Springfield has decided (since March) to charge you the next day when they process the return. I had an increasingly rude conversation with the manager at this location, often interrupting me, and not taking any responsibility for seemingly hiding this new policy.It's frustrating to be told a charge and then be surprised with extra fees - sorry, Hertz. You've lost a loyal customer.*Edited to say that corporate understood this issue, and have tried to make things right. The manager of this store, however, did not have the same values.

Customer Service was rude and unprofessional. We waited for an 1hr only for him to answer phone calls and not attending to Customers standing right in front of him.NO RENTALS only EV available after all this time waiting.Don't Recommend this place not at all...Lucy

Disaster experience. I had a valid reservation. When I arrived (during business hours) the door was locked, lights out, and no one there. I waited an hour. No sign on the door to explain any special situation. I called the 800 number for customer support while in the lot and they were equally useless - they also could not contact this location. Please consider this location “out of business.”

Good luck having to navigate thru a series of prompts that lead nowhere. If you hold on to speak to a local agent you will could walk to your destination before they answer. I'm still walking. Almost in New York city. The name says it all. It Hertz to do business with this company. Go to Enterprise.

Booked and paid in advance for my full reservation. Was told that I couldn’t have the car because it wasn’t made 24 hours in advance, the manager told me to walk to Enterprise and book through them. Was able to book no problem. Hertz is a joke and I will NEVER use them again lol. If you are reading this review because you are even 1% unsure of using Hertz, DO NOT USE THEM. “Walk” or drive half a mile up the street to Enterprise and have them take care of you.

Made a reservation for one way got the email confirmation and took a lyft where I was stranded to get to hertz just for them to deny me services and stranded me more. Unreal. Ever since covid these rental car places want to deny one way trips when that's what the customers obviously needs

Paid for a full reservation, got there and was told my reservation was impossible to fulfill because it wasn't made 24 hours in advance (despite having paid for it with a full confirmation). Was told to walk to Enterprise and book through them. Hertz is a joke.

They hiked the price up when I went to check out, pricing was not accurate, given a different price over the phone. Rep who assisted us kicked us out we ran into issues with the card used and the guy said he was closing in 5 min. And told us he closed began shutting the lights off and had us leave. I wasn’t able to get the rental I needed, there was no solution given. I will never use Hertz again by far the worst experience I’ve ever had with renting cars!
