Lovely exhibit featuring Leo Leoni illustrator of popular children's books such as my favorite "Frederick ". He also illustrated the cover of several classic such as Camu's "The Stranger " and " Family of Man"Rockwell 's journey as an illustrator is always interesting, and the short film is well worth the time. Great family experience.

We had a wonderful time seeing Rockwell’s paintings! A+ for wheelchair accessibility (although no discount for companions)

This place is a gem! We stumbled upon it unexpectedly on our commute home and it was the perfect thing to do for my birthday! They have amazing paintings on display. Go early, they got really busy!! I was surprised at how many people brought very small children, which caused it to get lout later in our visit. I’m sure it was because of Christmas vacation, but I don’t feel that is a good place for screaming toddlers. ?It is a beautiful place. I wish they had more choices for prints to purchase, but the prices for unframed art was reasonable.

I found so much more here than I expected. You do not have to be old enough to nostalgic about Mr. Rockwell's work or the times he depicted to enjoy this museum and to become absorbed by its contents. His work is worthy of viewing because he was a master in his field. He succeeds in his goals with every piece and those goals always consider your pleasure in viewing them. But there is also so much here to contemplate about an artists relationship to his times and how this artists evolved over his career in dealing with commercial purposes and social issues. Further you will find plenty here to allow you to robustly contemplate both the nature of art and the nature of story telling. His works are considered by many to be simple illustration. This says more about such critics lack of sophistication than about Mr. Rockwell's. Further it is clear that the body of his work is a substantial contribution to the art of the 20th century. Also, the setting is worth a visit in and of itself.

I actually visited this place over a year ago and it was very lovely. In addition to the Norman Rockwell pieces, they have other art installations from other current day artists and the ones that were there during my visit were very cute. At this time I stopped to swing by the gift shop again to buy something for my partner, and it did not disappoint.!!

We purchased two tickets for the museum and only after trying to enter were told that all the actual exhibits were closed off to the public for an event and that the artist studio was closed as well. So we paid $20 each to see a basement of recreated artwork while the originals were above us. We were told we could enjoy the rest of the open museum by taking the elevator from the basement to the 1st floor. It took us to the gift shop.... We felt the basement exhibits were nice but that it was not right to charge us for full admission without advising us that multiple areas were closed to the public, yet had other people going in and looking around.

The museum was beautiful and very clean. There was a lot of history on Norman Rockwell. They provided tours which had to be paid for separately than the admission ticket. There was a gift shop. The museum was situated on quite a few acres with paths that were available to walk. There was also the original workshop of Norman Rockwell. You could only tour that by appt.

There is only one of Rockwell’s Boy Scout paintings in the museum. No reference to Scouting in the movie that runs in the downstairs gallery. I asked a worker about it and she said the museum does not own the prints. Very disappointing, it was the reason for my visit.

Exceptional, very cool. Programming for the whole family. From grandpa to grandson. Beautiful museum. Culture, history, curiosities and fun. Everything in the same place. Portrait of 20th century North American history. Frame by frame. It's definitely worth the visit. Reserve at least 2 hours for the visit, as there is a lot of material to be viewed, including a brief video about the author's life. Believe me, this visit is very worth it.Ample parking. Very easy.

I love my country and obviously Mr Rockwell did too. His pieces reflecting social challenges are thought provoking in the current climate of division.

This is one of the best museums in the Berkshires. The collection of Rockwell paintings is extensive and covers a wide range of his work, from original Post covers to his social justice paintings. If you've ever seen his pictures of his paintings before, seeing the originals takes it to a whole new level.
