“Annette not only runs a beautifully curated shop, but her sales are equally thoughtfully organized, fair, and full of amazing finds. Expect to find everything from everyday items to antiques. It’s clear she puts real care into how everything is presented, and she's always kind and approachable. She clearly respects both the families she works with and the buyers she welcomes. Shopping with her is always a positive experience, and I can’t recommend checking out either enough!”

“This is my first and last recommendation for anyone with a wood fireplace. When we first bought a home with a fireplace, this was our one-step shop to start using it. I walked in knowing nothing and with only a measurement of the fireplace opening, and walked out with everything I needed. It's also an amazing vibe, absolutely worth visiting. The owner is extremely kind, welcoming, and knowledgable. Also great prices on firewood.”

“I had a wonderful experience working with this small business on a custom map. The attention to detail was outstanding, and they were thoughtful and responsive throughout the entire process. They really took the time to understand what I was looking for and delivered a beautiful, high-quality product. You can tell Steven cares deeply about his work and his customers. I would absolutely recommend Ward Maps to anyone looking for a meaningful, custom piece.”

“Last week I brought my 27 year old Chelsea Clock that was not working to the Clock Folk of New England. The clock was a gift from Tucker Anthony when I left the firm. I wind my clock every week and the last time that I did my weekly wind it just stopped working. I met with the two brothers and they really didn't want to take such an old clock apart, but they did try to do a few adjustments. One thing they did was to set the clock for noon and then put my old clock on the work bench. I then was given a tour of an impressive showroom of new and used clock. When we returned to the bench, the clock began working again! They gave me instructions to follow when I took my clock home and it is still working after one week.

There was no charge for the adjustment and they even gave a new pen. I really cannot say enough good thing about the very professional team of clock folk guys.

“I called Doug to give me appraisals on some dining room furniture ,and odd tables and chairs. He was very knowledgeable about everything and showed me proof of the value of my things ( not very much ). I felt he was very fair and took everything and more at a very fair price. He was responsive and very personable. I highly recommend them.”

“Derek replaced the plexiglass on one of my roomate’s Japanese frog painting after I clumsily cracked it while working out in my apartment. He stapled the new plexiglass to the frame in a way that made it more stable than before and even sealed some of the flaws in the frame to give it a smoother/more clean appearance. He got the piece back to me in less than a week and packaged it securely so it wouldn’t get damaged on the ride home. I will definitely be coming back to this location if I have any more picture frame related needs or (in this case) woes, and you should do the same!”

“I have been hanging onto my childhood bureau, from the 60's. Needless to say,it has traveled and moved with me for over 50 years. My dream was to , one day, have it restored to the beauty it once was. Anthony's made that dream come true. I never expected , the bureau to look this amazing. I applaud Anthony, his gift, and the care that was given to this piece of furniture. I love it. I highly recomend Anthonys Furniture Co.”

“Had the pleasure to talk with Wayne, who quickly helped me figure out what to do about a 100+ year old gramophone I had. Really honest and kind, and helped me out a whole lot. If you’re trying to figure out what to do with some old antiques and collectibles, a definitely recommend contacting central mass auctions!”

“I had a great experience today purchasing a lampshade for an unusually sized and shaped lamp. I had previously gone online and had all the measurements for what should work, but I decided it was better to talk with an expert who could make a recommendation. That’s what I got and I am very happy with my purchase. It’s the value you don’t get online, full service, no wasted packaging, and supporting local business.”

“super cute atmosphere and kind staff! Not your average thrift shop, expect boutique/ reseller pricing. I liked their sunglasses. Didn't buy but if you a spare $50 it can get you one shirt.”

“This is a really fun antiques, vintage and collectibles shop! They have a very wide selection of styles, with lots of dealers selling interesting items. It seems that merchandise changes regularly and some dealers offer discounts or sales. This is a nice size shop, so take your time and go slowly as there are many things to look at and enjoy. The proprietor of the shop is wonderful as she is welcoming, present to answer and/or help in addition to being able tell you about her really awesome baby shoe collection/display by the cashier station. If you're looking for unique, we'll loved items for yourself, decorating or gift-giving definitely give Downstairs at Felton a try!!!!”

“I could not be happier with the work Dan and his crew did with my dad‘s bureau. I lost my dad several years ago and finally could invest in getting this piece restored. Dan meticulously brought it back to life.I teared up seeing it again as it brought back memories from 50 years ago. Dan is a professional! I highly recommend him and his staff.”

“Such a nice store! I think I spent more time talking to the owners who were so friendly and welcoming. This was my first time in Beacon Hill after moving to Boston and Upstairs Downstairs has become a staple for me. They had some really great pieces at what I thought were very reasonable prices. Will definitely be recommending and com ing back.”

“I see people calling this a scam... what this place is a time capsule- a real treasure chest and if youre lucky enough to visit then listen to Patricas most incredible story that she tells proudly. I see people complaining about spending $20 on a book. Shes not forcing you to buy it. Shes a clever lady. Not everyone that walks through her door will spend $500 on an antique ring.. shes running a non profit shop. She also has to eat and she takes a taxi to go to work everyday. This costs money. Shes 102 and still shows up to work everyday. It was an honour meeting her and i loved every second in this shop. PS to the people who begrudingly paid $20 for her book, i paid $40 and she signed it and i love it!”

“Responding to AV Wells…The owner of the store has been in the emergency room at the hospital since this morning before the store opened. Maybe if he was a psychic he could have posted that on his store window just for you. It amazes me how quick people are to criticize when they don’t even know what’s going on.”

“This antique market is huge! You can easily spend an afternoon wandering around all the different booths. There’s a great variety of vintage items, furniture, decor, and lots of unique finds. I ended up buying a few pieces I wasn’t even planning to get. Staff was friendly and the overall vibe is super fun. Highly recommend for anyone who loves digging for good vintage.”

“I am surprised to see some of the negative reviews. I recently visited this store (first time) and I thought it was pretty cool. Filled with all sorts of gems. The owner was helpful, and very kind. Some items didn't have prices and he gave me a price when I asked. I checked on antique websites and Ebay to compare the prices before I checked out and his prices were lower. I had a good experience and will go back again. He even gave me a free brass item with $200 purchase.”
