“A wonderful gallery displaying the most beautiful paintings. The owners are super friendly and engaging, I loved the atmosphere of the gallery, it felt warm and bright.Thank you Helaine and Sitka for the great conversation!”
“We rented a chuppah and talit from Kolbo for our wedding and also bought a Ketubah and glass from them and they were wonderful throughout the process! Pickup and drop off of the rented items was seamless and the Ketubah (handmade) and glass were beautiful and delivered in a timely manner”
“I’m so thoroughly impressed with Karenna, her professionalism, attention to detail and artistic eye are unparalleled. Her shop has a collection of some wonderful local artists and she also does excellent repairs. Highly recommend five stars all around.”
“The owners of the Picture Store were great to work with. The shop has a large stock of options to choose from and the owners were very knowledgable and thoughtful in helping us choose the right frame for a very large oil painting. The framing was beautifully done and ready on time and they offered to go above and beyond to help us with some logistics of dealing with this large canvas. We recommend this shop very highly.”
“I loved working with Corrine and Brian! They were super helpful in getting everything together for me. After an unpleasant experience with another store / lost package / no follow-up and delay of refund, this store came to the rescue...Thanks ya'll!”
“went this past weekend to see Nüwa in Fairyland!! such a good show and cast, it was Queer AAPI night so i got to see lots of other queer AAPI in the audience ?? loved the atmosphere and their blackbox theater!”
“I exhibit here. It is a wonderful gallery featuring hundreds of artists. There is something for any buyer with an eclectic collection of exhibitors. Moreover, the themed exhibitions are thoughtful, humorous, and presented with artistic flair and found objects juxtaposed with art for sale. The owners are really nice artistic people. Their victorian home transforms into a huge gallery where you really get a feel for how art might look in the buyers' own home.”

“I have been a collector of rare books for 3 decades and have never been in a shop with such fine employees. I brought my 20 yo son who had never been in a similar setting and they immediately attended to him and helped him to feel comfortable and appreciated. While they are not the largest antiquarian bookstore the volumes they own are carefully curated and chosen for people with budgets from $50 to $50,000. I have no other relationship to them except as a customer and get no discount for my opinion (I wish!). Much luck to them. Ask to see the Picasso miniature!! Jim”
“Delightful place and people (or maybe I was just starved for conversation with some fellow designers?) Either way, thank you for providing the opportunity, Michael!!”

“This gallery should be on every collector’s radar! The art is innovative and ever-changing. I recently went to their ‘New Horizons’ NFT exhibition, which was the first ever in Boston. The event was a huge success, there was a DJ and a generous selection of drinks at an open bar. It was very fascinating being able to interact with the artists and their work. I highly recommend checking out the featured NFTs while they’re still displayed.”
“If you are an architect or an architecture fan, you should come to Cambridge and make a list of remarkable buildings between Harvard and MIT. This is the only building in the United States designed by Le Corbusier. It is an obligatory stop on your tour. Le Corbusier came twice to Harvard before the construction but was never able to see the work done.”
“It's an absolutely beautiful space for an event catering Great Space great location book it for one of your gatherings ask for Ashley she's one of the representatives”
“I work nearby and have been to Portal a few times to pick up gifts for others (and 1 for myself). To stay the staff is friendly and knowledgably is a massive understatement. Worth a trip for something different and engaging.”
“A small but distinctive exhibition space that features mostly new photography. We saw an impressive student exhibition that featured a handful of creative and thought provoking pieces. There were also several large outdoor cubes with photos displayed when we visited in August. Gorgeous location by the water and we saw several ducks and swans.”
“I met Tom a while back at New England Comics a few doors over from his shop. Great guy, down to earth comic nerd and super framer. I follow xmen pretty hard core. SO I have a pretty extensive collection of books and original pen and ink drawings. Guess where I had them framed? needless to say we geeked out over marvel stuff while framing my stuff. Now I can hang them on the wall to enjoy everyday. Thanks dude!”
