I want to express my gratitude for the excellent service I received, especially from the employee Daniel. These days, it's not every day that we receive such quality service, and that's why I wanted to come here and give my 5 stars. Thank you very much.

Had an appointment to get new tires. Walked into the lobby and had to wait 10 minutes to be acknowledged by an employee. Sit for another five minutes only to be told they don’t have my tires and they may be in next week. Absurd that I received email confirmation of the tire order and appointment, then no follow up that BJ’s can’t get the job done at the appointed time. Terrible experience, would not recommend using these guys.

Had an appointment at 11 that was scheduled to go until 12:30. I went to do some shopping then called at 12:15 to ask for a status update and was told that my tires were being balanced and it’d be another 15-20 minutes, so I headed back.
Got there 15-20 mins later and my car was up on the jack with no tires. I asked the guy at the desk if he knew how much longer it would be… he says ‘no’ and storms back off into the garage.
So I guess it was just a complete lie that the tires were being balanced and it’d be another 15-20 minutes? I’m sure this is more of a management issue because they’re understaffed, but either way, I’ll never be coming back here.

It gets one star because eventually, you do get tires. However, everything else about this location is made to frustrate you. Even if you call ahead or make an appointment online, and even if the BJ’s rep confirms your appointment and that the tires are available, you may have to wait hours for service, or even reschedule your appointment because either a) they are too backed up due to understaffing, b) they actually didn’t have your tires in stock, c) something went wrong with their backwards computer system, or all of the above. In short: You might walk in with an appointment time, but start praying you keep that appointment (or, at the very least, didn’t have anything going on that day.)
The understaffing is a HUGE issue. There is one guy working both the propane and the front desk, one working the repairs, and a manager who may or may not be helping either of them out. You might have to wait twenty minutes just to get a simple question answered. And when you get an answer, it’s usually very short and tense, as the employee is getting run ragged and would rather be doing anything else.
On my last visit here, I waited over four hours for my tires to get replaced when I had an appointment. During that time, two walk-ins came in to get their tires replaced, and my car was left on the jack with the tires off. When I asked repeatedly about how much longer it would take, the person who I assume was the manager told me that one of their employees had called out and one other had gotten fired that day. There had been no communication about any of this, and had I known that they were having such staffing issues, I would have rescheduled the appointment or asked for a refund to take my business elsewhere. But I was still stunned that they pretty much ignored my appointment and communication was absolutely zero.
BJ’s NEEDS to address the issues at this location. Every time I come here it is a hassle. The only reason I continue to use BJ’s tire services is because of the deals they provide and the fact that I want to put my membership to good use. Members deserve better service for the price they pay, and that means a fully-staffed facility, appointments honored and completed in a reasonable manner and time, and clear communication. This tire center provides none of that, but they do… EVENTUALLY… put tires on your car. Maybe. Possibly.
(NOTE: This is not to disparage any of the employees. They are doing the best they can. It is up to BJ’s as a company to fix the issues with the tire center in order to support their employees and make a better experience for their members.)

If you can’t staff a place then close it down.
Enough is enough with this place. For years now, this place typically has one guy running around trying to do everything from tires to filling propane.
Usually they have an attitude because they are
being stretched to thin which is understandable but frustrating as a customer.
We have wasted days at this point between planning our day around appointments that get rescheduled when we get there.
Waiting hours to get tires installed or wasting a trip to get a propane tank filled with no one there to fill it.
BJs either needs to step it up to get some good employees or they need to shut it down. It’s not fair to the customers or the one employee trying to do 5 jobs.

I have had many bad experiences at this location, but I just had maybe my best ever. They were very busy with holiday issues, but the person servicing was amazing. I understand when people are stressed because they are busy. This gentleman went out of his way to help me. Thanks!

I would like to share my recent experience at the Stoneham store regarding a tire purchase, which unfortunately did not meet my expectations.
On October 2, 2024, I purchased four tires from Supervisor Anthony, who informed me that they would take approximately nine days to arrive. He scheduled an installation appointment for October 19, 2024, at 12 PM. However, the day before my appointment, I received a call asking if I could leave my car overnight due to overbooking. Unfortunately, I was unable to accommodate this request, as I rely on my vehicle for work commitments, so I decided to keep my original appointment.
When I arrived for my appointment the next day, I had to wait for an hour, only to be informed that my tires had not yet arrived and were expected to be delivered by Monday morning. After not receiving any updates on that Monday, I called the store for a status update. During that call, I spoke with Anthony again, who mentioned that the delivery truck had not arrived and promised to call me once it did, but I never heard back from them. On October 23, 2024, I decided to call again and spoke with Anthony, who unfortunately was quite rude. He mentioned that there was a backlog and could not provide an estimated arrival time. When I tried to explain that it would have been helpful if they had communicated the delay, he responded by saying that I wasn't the only one and that he had a million things to do. While I understand that delays can happen, his dismissive attitude and lack of communication were disappointing.
At this point, I requested a refund, and Anthony directed me to the membership center in the store to process it. A few minutes later he called back with an alternative offer for different tires, which I chose to decline due to my earlier experience with his customer service.
On a positive note, the customer service desk at the membership center was very helpful and provided excellent assistance during this process.
While I appreciate the challenges of managing customer expectations, I hope my feedback is constructive and can help improve communication and service in the future.

Got a tire changed. One of the workers damaged the vehicle but replaces it free of charge. Took about 4 hours for the repair. Was there for about 5 hours in total.

2.5 hours to get your tires changed. Everywhere else I’ve ever gone takes an hour. What’s the point of having to make an appointment if you have to wait for them to get through a line of cars before they can get to yours. Spend the extra $10 and go somewhere else

I would not recommend getting an alignment here. I bought 4 tires here with alignment but the alignment was off and it caused excess wear on my tires at only 6000 miles. BJs do not stand behind their work or have actual warranties here, they will tell you to contact the tire manufacturer instead. The tire manufacturer sent me to another place and found the alignment was seriously off and cost more money to fix it because while the tire is prorated they charged for installation, not to mention I need a new alignment. If you want to save money, I guess get tires replaced here but every so often, go to a real tire shop for an alignment with it.

Terrible wheel alignment done ! I went twice and the vehicle measurements were completely off and my steering wheel was crooked while driving. Mind you I left my car there for the whole day paid for a lyft ( went twice) and spent considerable time for a wheel alignment that clearly showed wasn't alined due to the measurements from the calibrations machine. I ended up going to goodyear ( should have went there first measurements were off they completed the work, never again.I am also waiting to hear back from the general manager of the store to respond about this issue was told 3 business days ( no call as of yet) will file a claim soon with credit card company.
