If I’m trying to check out and it’s set up like self checkout, I don’t need an employee laughing about it saying it’s associate check out when this man is standing way too close to me and I’m clearly a bit weirded out by it. That’s extremely confusing. Didn’t purchase my items I just left. That rubbed me the wrong way. 2nd times this has happened.

I always enjoy visiting my local Five Below. The store is well-kept, clean, and organized, making it easy to find whatever I’m looking for, whether it’s a fun new gadget, some affordable home decor, or a quick snack. The atmosphere is bright and inviting, and the staff plays a big part in that. They’re always friendly and helpful, and I’m consistently greeted with a smile when I walk through the door.
One thing I appreciate about this location is how well-stocked it usually is. I rarely have trouble finding what I need, and if I do, the staff is always around to help out. Their customer service is definitely a highlight and makes every shopping trip feel positive.
However, the checkout process is where things could be a bit smoother. I wish I could use the self-checkout on my own, as it would make the whole experience faster and more convenient. I understand that the setup might be due to specific store policies, but it would be great if they could find a way to balance those with customer convenience. Even so, it’s not a deal-breaker, just something to consider. Overall, it’s a fantastic spot to shop, and I always leave with something fun.

To start, I love Five Below. Walking in you are greeted that’s fine, I get to shop, but checkout is truly not a nice experience. The last two times I went there, a worker came up super close to me asking if I want a bag. First off going up super close to someone none the less a stranger gives people anxiety. With my recent experience, she asked me multiple times and then jokes about me declining a bag. Like seriously? I’m obviously uncomfortable. Both times checking out, the worker stands there in proximity watching me scan my items. Maybe it’s because i’m young they assume that young people steal. Not a comfortable experience checking out at Stoneham Five Below.

Clean, lots of great gift ideas and just everyday items. I was pleasantly surprised with all the great items. And the cashier was the cutest sweetest young lady! Definitely a go to store.

Disgusting Costumer service. BUYER BE WARE!: The African-American girl doesn't look you in the eyes and always seems to have a nasty attitude, always laughing with her short haired Latina friend. They work the night shift. Very inexperienced. Will be coming back to see if they've fired her.

I normally love 5 Below and I want to make it ABUNDANTLY CLEAR to management specifically that this is a YOU problem, it has nothing to do with your employees who have been nothing but wonderful since this location opened. You need to stop forcing them to scream"WELCOME TO 5 BELOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Whenever a single person walks in. It's grating, irritating, insincere and literally.akes me avoid the place unless I NEED something from there. You also really need to stop demanding that employees stand 3 inches behind customers checking out and loudly checking to see if we need bags. It's really creepy. I get that people probably steal from y'all or whatever but I would genuinely suggest hiring a loss prevention officer to watch cameras or something instead of crawling up employees asses to do so. You're paying these people minimum wage and putting them is incredibly uncomfortable positions, not to mention your clients, who make you money. Please reconsider your business model for this particular location; it's veryyyy creepy right now. And again, you have no one but management to blame for this, please don't try and accuse your employees of bad service. As someone who has been in the service industry for years, I can tell when management has grossly unreasonable and stupid expectations. Get it together.
