However, I do feel the need to give any beer lovers a quick heads up.

I was told by someone in a Reddit thread that this place had great craft beer selection. While there is a good amount of beer, the photos associated with the Google reviews are about 7 years old. Their beer selection has been reduced quite a bit over the years.

I went in there in search of aged strong ales and imperial stouts. I found four bottles I was particularly psyched about. One of them (a stout called “Cease and Desist”) did not age well. It was bottled in 2015. Since most stouts, strong ales, Barleywines (etc) that I’ve enjoyed tend to age like wine, I expected this beer would be wonderful. Instead, it tasted like vinegar.

If you’re on the hunt for aged beers, and you see any bottles of Cease and Desist (here or anywhere else) that were bottled more than 5 years ago, you should pass on that”

“Center Beverage is a local liquor store located on Main Street in Stoneham. They sell wines, liquor, beer and nips. Their prices are reasonable and you can get fairly good wines in the price range of $8- $10 which I can't get in my town of Melrose. I don't drink beer and never buy liquor, I only buy wine, but they have all that and many different brands. It's east to get to with lots of free parking. Easy to hop in and hop out. The people are very friendly and helpful. They always have good suggestions on wines and help me to find wines that I like.”

“Stopped in quick before going to my friend’s house in Melrose. I just needed a couple of bottles of wine and a 6 pack of IPA. They had a great selection and the guy working there was helpful and nice. Good selection of everything!”
