“Friendly and professional service. I appreciated that someone greeted me right when I walked in and that he helped me find what I needed. The cashier was also kind and helpful when I called ahead to check inventory. This is traditional customer service done right.”
“My experience was excellent. First I met with Anna who helped me with my wallpaper selection and also with paint colors for my kitchen. She patiently worked with me find the perfect color. I also decided to paint the legs of my butcher block cart. She helped choosing that color as well and it was perfect. Evan gave me lots of pointers on how to go about painting it like painting from the bottom up and I totally understand now why that has to be. He recommended a type of paint that is tougher than usual but still latex, which brush to use and told me I didn't need to sand which was a relief. Here is a photo of how my wallpaper and paint turned out. I couldn't be happier. Thank you Johnson Paint!”
“This is what used to be called a "mom and pop" hardware store. It's small, by Home Depot standards, but it has an amazing inventory and enough people actually interested in helping you. If you live in the community and have a need for some piece of hardware, a tool, or fixture of some kind...come here first. If they don't have it, fine, hitch up your dog sled and go to Home Depot. But start here first. The town is worth it and so are the people who run this little jewel of a company ou!”
“Great service over there have been going for years and very knowledgeable staff. They have lots of tools at a good price as well festool etc . Also the best prices around for Ben Moore paint, regal , ultra spec, aura etc.”
“Coolidge Hardware is our go to place when we want professional service and need high quality products. We have been going to Coolidge Hardware for over 30 years for high quality paint, paint brushes, hardware (screws, locks, keys...) and advice. I once brought a small chip off of an old wall we were repairing, and they were able to match the paint EXACTLY. Always professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and very helpful!”
“I can't say enough good things about this hardware store. Unlike Lowe's or Home Depot, there's always knowledgeable staff available to answer any questions or to assist customers as needed. All of the staff are absolutely amazing and have always gone above and beyond, in my opinion. I've been there on countless occasions with a million questions or having absolutely no idea how to do something, yet somehow still always manage to leave with all the stock required and have been advised as to the best way to get the job completed. I won't go anywhere else.”
“Claudia is an absolute expert and a joy and helped us pick all the right colors and basically transform our renovation strategy. An amazing perk of this location. Thank you”
“Went to two Home Depots and called an Ace Hardware looking for something that they didn't have. Saw this store on the way home and pulled over to give it a shot. They sorted me out in about 2 minutes. Now I know what order to do my hardware shopping in.”
“Came in on a Saturday morning in May and the man working there was very helpful in terms of product and price options. He was also super friendly and nice. Glad this store is so close to where we live.”
“They were very friendly and helpful choosing paint. They offer eco options. They were even so kind as to absorb the cost when they prepared a paint for me and I ended up needing a different color. They also carried the paint to my car without me asking. Definitely recommend.”
“This paint shortage has left all of us scrambling, but your employee Drew has gone above and beyond in helping us find more material from other locations. He was friendly and personable and so helpful in our search.”
“Brian was so helpful with finding the perfect color and describing the different qualities to choose from. He’s great at his job and I was very impressed with the service I received!”
“Went in to get some paint for work, it was close to closing time but Daniel didn't care. He was super helpful and very pleasant, and even let me know about a promo on the paint I needed to purchase. Great experience. I would definitely recommend this location!”
“Friend to the rescue! This is probably the third or forth project where our contractor forgot to get materials or obtained the wrong sizes. A call to Friend Lumber has almost always been the solution. Their materials are quality, their knowledge is tops, their staff is professional, and the guys who deliver are just great. We always buy here if we can for our DIY homeowner projects, but they have also been responsive to our last minute needs when contractors muck up. They have been great about getting materials to us fast, and letting us know when it just can't be done. We find their prices competitive. We will keep buying here whenever we can.”
“I’ve been painting for 30+ years and I have to say that Dave and the staff have been the best I’ve dealt with. Always friendly and willing to help. Thank you guys very much!”
“Had an excellent experience at Sherwin Williams in Arlington, MA. Everyone was very professional and helpful. Aaron, in particular, was highly knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with. Thank you.”
“Excellent color selections and high quality paint, great customer service from knowledgeable staff, and highly accurate color-matching capabilities. It was a much better experience than going to a big-box store. Store manager Christian Aguilar is extremely knowledgeable, friendly and helpful.”
“This Store Manager is awesome and made our daunting house painting experience fantastic. Truth be told...after we decided on Sherwin Williams - we shopped around a bit. We hit a few different Sherwin Williams locations and asked color and paint quality questions. We were kind of taking votes on exterior trim and accent colors and picking the brains of employees regarding a bunch of scenarios including this horrendous unrelenting humidity and how the exterior paint would fare. After an amazing experience with a Sherwin Williams Zoom Color Consultation with a enthusiastic, experienced, patient and extremely helpful gal named Aimee - we decided on the colors and just needed to purchase the paint. The assistance at the Sherwin Williams stores we had previously visited was just okay. I happened to see this Wimington location while in the area for my dentist appointment, so I stopped in. Hemant greeted me with a big smile when I walked in. You could tell he was a great guy, with great energy and he liked his job. I told him about our project and he was friendly, and helpful and so good-natured. Unfortunately, you don't see much of that these days. I asked about coupons and he explained the various sales that the store runs, he showed me discounted cans for any other projects I might want to do and told me about the diferences inthe paint qualities. I thanked him, grabbed his card and knew I would be driving way out of my way to give him my business - just like I do with my dentist. We just bought the paint today. He was his usual awesome, engaging self and even asked to see photos once we are done. Love this guy and I highly recommend this particular location because of him.”
“I know Benjamin Moore paints are the standard for new England, but S-W has excellent paint, great customer service, great variety of items, and is often more convenient. My research says that S-W paints are of the same high quality as Benjamin Moore. So you have a choice!”
“Had a great experience here! The staff person at the desk (didn't get his name) was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Clean and neat store, everything you need for a painting or staining project.”
“I am a painting contractor and I deal with many stores and I know Colorworks since I worked as a painter for another company and I'm always treated as a valuable customer. I basically work in the Metrowest/Northfolk areas rarely in the Northshore, but I still have mostly of my project orders coming/made from Colorworks. They are the best in matching colors. All the staff are very pleasant and knowledgeable about the product. I'll definetelly keep using their services!”
“I come here because I want to support my local businesses. However the pricing is hard to swallow sometimes when you compare it to home depot and lowes... The staff is awesome and are always available to answer any and all questions...”
“I went to this store and I had an amazing experience. The employee Richard E. he was very knowledgeable and helpful while also being very clean about what I will need. If I could give him 10 stars I would more businesses should strive to hire employees like him”
“Super helpful and friendly staff here, they were happy to order letter-sized paint chips for us to help us make the final selection for wall colors. The parking is easy I am in the process of painting our living room and I find myself visiting the store a couple times a week for this and that.”
