“Very cool spot. Went in looking for a specific Bandai model line and found it within five seconds of entry. After that, exploring the shop was fascinating. They seem to have laid it out from low to high difficulty projects, from the front to the back. Up front were my silly Japanese robot models, then shelves of TTRPG textbooks, then printable miniatures, all the way back to the store with the historically accurate scale models, history books, and tabletop terrain materials. Very cool, will be back for more Bandai stuff.”

Josie & Griff were both very knowledgeable and I could just telll they love helping customer's and there patience of explaining how many piece's each item's had!!! Definitely recommend this Lego location if your visiting around the area and looking to get things for gifts!!! :)”

“Anime Zakka is a nice store located near the end of Newbury Street, close to Uniqlo and Muji. It is below ground, leading you into a place to be immersed by anime and Japanese pop culture. I enjoyed browsing and wandering around the store, as there were many products I’ve never heard of or seen. I found Tomica cars, a product I’ve never seen in Boston before but know many car collectors may enjoy looking at. I also found many stuffed animals I never knew existed for products I like, such as Miffy. The only downside is the products I did know were overpriced. I am a big fan of collecting lottery items, and they were nearly double the price at the store compared to what I could buy it for at online retailers.”

Lakeshore Learning has been especially helpful as a first-time parent figuring out which toys and activities might suit my child’s age. 🎨 Room to explore There’s a wide variety of toys, learning materials, art supplies, and pretend-play sets for different ages. Even just browsing gave me ideas for activities we could try at home. The photos here are from November 2025, when my little one was around 17 months old. We picked up painting supplies and enjoyed some messy art time at home afterward. Across our visits, I’ve also bought an alphabet display for the wall, large sheets of paper for art activities, and a toy without flashing lights. On our most recent visit, I brought home a felt pretend-play set. An indoor sand-play set is next on my wish list! 🛍 The practical things Prices are a little high for my budget, so I like to check for sales and coupons before buying. Browsing first helps me decide what would actually get used at home. We’ve also paired a visit with a trip to Savers, which made for an efficient shopping outing. 💛 Why we keep coming back When I first visited, I wasn’t sure what kinds of play to introduce at each age. Seeing the materials in person helped me picture what we could do together, rather than simply choosing another toy online. As my child grows, I keep noticing new things we’d enjoy. For parents like me who are still figuring it all out, this is a lovely place to find inspiration—even if you leave with more ideas than purchases.”

Instead of the criminals being able to use my card for days or weeks until I noticed they only managed 4 fraudulent charges and the card was quickly canceled. If they take the time to help me out and I'm not even a customer then they are the tops in my book.”
