First 30 miles of a 700 mile road trip and the tps lights up. Roofing nail in the right rear tire. Anyone notice the increase in road debris in Massachusetts...hmmm...budget cuts? Anyway a major local tire center told us they couldn't fix the hole but directed us to Main Street Auto. Like a nascar pit crew the mechanic had the nail out and plug in....fingers crossed. You could not ask for more responsive service. Cash is king. Extra Tip for speed!!

I have been a faithful customer for 11 years , then they rejected my Jeep for a thermostat, I had them fix it 300.00 the next day my Jeep doesn’t start , they never bled it or added coolant, then a few days later I have no heat , they change the thermostat ( which they already did supposedly) says nope it’s not the thermostat it’s some thing under the dash a heat shut off I don’t remember the exact thing, anyway I will never go back there not even for gas, big disappointment, now someone else is fixing my Jeep , fixing what they messed up

I went here for my inspection sticker. He failed me for needing new brake pads. Then proceeded to tell me if I had him do the work right then and there he would pass me. He quoted me $680 and I said no. I went straight to my regular mechanic who not only determined the brake pads were just fine but even if they did need to be replaced it would be around $300. He failed me, told me I couldn't drive my car and tried to scare me into spending $680 for something I didn't need. I went to another place for my sticker and passed just fine. Be careful!

I had a flat tire on Saturday night, late. Pulled in to Daou's to use the air pump and noticed Main Street Auto right there. They were able to see the car first thing Monday morning and quickly patched the tire. They also discovered the battery was dead so replaced that. The bill was also very reasonable. I could not be happier with how fast they worked to fix both problems - I think my total time there was under an hour. Total lifesavers!!!

Went in for a brake job on my Rogue. Never cost me more than $300 at my usual mechanic but he was on vacation. Cost me almost $500. Never going back.

Our car was towed to Main Street Auto in Sturbridge when it broke down on the Mass Pike. $250 later, we drove it out of the parking lot when it sputtered and broke down again. We could not get our money back, and asked if we could at least keep it there for a week or so free of charge while we figured out what to do with it. We were assured that it was no problem. On Wednesday 8/5 we called to say that it would be towed on Monday 8/10. We were told that was okay, but we would be charged for storage after Monday. When we went on Monday to meet the tow, we were told we had to pay $210 in storage to get the keys back. We are reasonable people and would be willing to pay something, but explained that we were told there would be no charge and besides, we already payed $250 for a car that wasn't actually fixed. $210 was excessive. No go. So almost $500 later, we still have a dead car. I would rate them zero stars if I could!!!!

This is by far the best place in Central MA to bring your car for service, as they are honest, do great work and the price is very fair. Ray goes way beyond to ensure that the repairs that he does are done done right and the price he charges is extremely fair. I would defiantly recommend them as I have had Ray do many repair jobs and I continue to go back as he is really a top notch technician.
